I'm sorry darlin' I can't talk to you. Chuck was my youngest son's name and he and his wife died in an accident with a train and his bike! He was a great rider but a black train at midnight going across a Farm road in Brazoria County needs no lights at it's crossing. Well let me correct that, they do now I raised so much hell. But welcome anyway. (25n56il4)

There is a movement here for lights on trains, not just on the front but sides. Some trains are very long.
General point- seems to me to be a legit role for the state in protecting life and property. Heavy fines will not work, they would just declare bankrupt.
Or, maybe, the owner of the road, if there is public access, should ensure the crossing is lit at night.

      Carlos. chuck0906: Welcome.

Yeah the stupid railroad people paint over the grafitti that was irredescient and at least showed up the writing on the sides when lights hit it. I can't tell you the exact numbers but my children were not the first to be killed at that one crossing. But they were the last!
