Even more interesting is one result from a search I made on "Who is John Hanson?", an article from the ThoughtCo contained this paragraph: "While few details of Hanson’s early life are known, historians presume he was educated at home by private tutors as were most children of wealthy Colonial American families. It's the first time I ever saw a Founding Father biography with the vocational description "enslaver" attached. Is this where we are going now?

I do recall that John Hancock, yea that one, was who was in that office when the Declaration of Independence was signed. Which leaves 2-3 who were President after and during the Revolutionary War.
I engaged the commenters and stated that if this John Hanson is the one from Maryland (I think) then he Was Black and therefore the first black president of this country...They stopped arguing with me.

My ancestry in this part of the world goes back to 1672 when my fur trappers forefathers came to that part of Canada, that became Massachusetts, after the loss of the King Phillips war (only to become the state of Maine in 1820). With the loss of that conflict they moved west to an area between Quebec and Montreal rich in beaver and fox, marrying into the Blackfoot and Iroquois tribes to secure trapping rights. Where most stayed until the Great Depression, slowly migrating towards the big mills along the Merrimac to work the tannery trade. Talk about slavery. The chemicals killed most of them before retirement.
We (with very few exceptions) were/are all slaves of one sort or another. My ancestors were (and are) the Acadian Driftwood The Band sang about.
So don't let anyone pout on your shoulder about their long dead history. I Tell then to put you big boy (big girl) pants on and get to work!

1) If they accept the money, they must leave the USA, never to return. In fact, they can only go back to where their ancestors were taken from.
2) For each of them, we offer someone from their country, the opportunity to come here, if they agree to pay for the reparations of the person they are replacing.
This does 2 things. It shows that WE are not the problem, especially when we get that bidding war going on...
It also moves the true problems back, to where they can show us how great of a country they can build, if they do it all on their own.
