An Alternative Observation: The Chinese 'Spy Balloon' Story As Manufactured Crisis

A convenient distraction?
Excerpt:
"Previous constant headlines of the Ukraine-Russia war were put on pause Friday into Saturday as the American public's attention and discourse got temporarily consumed by the bizarre Chinese 'spy balloon' saga, which grew more dramatic by the hour until it was shot down by the Pentagon over the Atlantic Ocean.
But few are currently asking the necessary deeper questions related to the timing. Given the last major balloon crisis to take over 24/7 network news coverage ended up being a complete hoax (remember the "balloon boy" stunt of 2009 which had the world breathless and on edge for a full news cycle?), the current context to the Chinese balloon story and the question of cui bono is worth a deeper dive...
Entrepreneur and geopolitical commentator Arnaud Bertrand, who as a Westerner has spent many years living in China and frequently attempts to correct the often misleading analysis of mainstream press reports, offers an 'alternative view' of what's fast unfolding below [emphasis ZH's)..."

next thing you know….
This incident sure did not help Buy Dems cause.
Just saying , but This technology of extremely high altitude surveillance 🎈 likely was stolen from US.
What if BuyDem had top secret documents on high altitude surveillance?
Pure speculation , but he had top secret documents.
Your observation about foot dragging until Trump spoke up is a good one.
A little time taken to analyse it and replace the stream with disinformation could explain the delay.
Just speculation without any evidence.
The military does have excellent resources on the 'ground' if the (likely corrupt)
managers ordered such a response.
Of course, if it was a news propaganda distraction instead, the delay would have
been intentional as long as needed for the hidden agenda.

Hey everybody! Look up at the balloon!!! Nothing to see down here.
Thanks for the post.
In this case, either the military knew about the drone as it corssed into the usa, OR they are just a bit stupid and werent looking at something that high. Either way, it doesnt look good for the USA.
Once it became public that there was a balloon, I think the military wanted to shoot it down and biden was the one who said to hold off. He needed to see what the chinese wanted us to do, which was probably to just let it go where it wants. Finally, biden had to cave in to public pressure and figured to crash it off the coast, but WITHIN the 12 mile limit of US aurhority. The chinese said ok, but that they would scream and yell and talk about retaliation.
They found out what the trial balloon was for, and they got their answer. Next one will have an EMP device or worse, and they will set it off.
I think they got their answer as all MSM can come up with is the lame, smoke-screen charge that Trump had Chinese spy balloons flying and covered it up, or at least didn't shoot them down at all--where at least Biden finally got one shot down. (Bolton claims he never had any knowledge of any Chinese balloons in US airspace.)
Yeah, the MSMM will say (ahem, make up) anything negative they want about Trump. No need for proof.
So obviously, some "alternative" media outlets are being screened by censors to try to make their sites conform to MSM standards.
Twitter is an interesting case as it was heavily censored to conform to MSM standards before Musk bought it. Now, perhaps not so conspicuous in its efforts to conform although this morning, on local TV news, I saw that Republican US Senator Steve Daines had his Twitter account suspended because of a photo he messaged showing him and his wife with a hunting trophy, maybe an African prong horn of some variety, in the field. So obviously some folks at Twitter are doing their best to keep Twitter in line with MSM standards--i.e. censor American nationalists and defenders of Constitutional liberties whenever possible.

Sources that are not MSM, or "Alternative," would include Newsmax, NYPost, Epoch Times, AmericanWireNews.com, Washington Times, Daily Wire, Breitbart, BizPacReview, etc., and quite a few AM radio talk-show programs that have their own regular hosts (e.g. Rich Valdes who recently replaced Jim Bohannon after his death, and "Clay & Buck" who replaced Limbaugh after his death). Also YouTube and Facebook programs and podcasts that frequently contradict and oppose MSM reporting. Not all counter-MSM/"alternative" sources are conservative; for example, a wide variety of opinions can be found on Sirius XM that has hosted Howard Stern for about 17 years.
but, it was also a test on several fronts
it seemed to be guided, so there was a test of that concept
it could also carry a drone swarm
drones to attack our planes on the ground
drones to jam missile silos closed
drones to attack the power grid
a test our our ability and willingness to respond
a test of biden to follow orders from china, as the biden crime family is owned by china
Drone swarm? Problem - again - is battery power and its source. Have several extended family members who play with drones either recreationally or professionally (and the professional ones can't talk about what they do) and they're constantly griping about the actual flight times they can get - which isn't much. A common recreational drone about 12" square has only enough battery to fly for about 90 seconds while taking HD video.
Only really practical thing in a balloon like that is monitoring/surveillance electronics.
Think about it.
