Srsly, hope the visit's going well.
Hubs picked up P2 last week. We're doing double-feature movie night tonight (Sat).
Filing that away for future reference....
when Halley left, I felt my eyes stinging.
I loved the little touches like the Prius with the "don't take" sign on it.
TELLER talking!
"Laws. if the right people don't break them, they're of no use whatsoever"
Lionel brought up the cigarettes in the ashtray already, but I loved that it was included from the story. I thought the overall filming and directing were quite good.
I tried and tried to believe she was Dagney. it didn't happen for me, although I am not going to say Ms. Mathis didn't do a good job of acting. it is a visual thing. which kinda bugs me that I would prioritize it-but Rand gave us alot of descriptors regarding the heroine and the casting choice did not nail it-far from it. it has nothing to do with beauty-for example Keira Knightley would be a bad casting of Dagney. soft and dreamy doesn't cut it. Frankly, Ms. Schilling nailed the look, in my opinion. everyone else was great, Beghe as Hank was just ok.
I wish I had that model TT train! lol
overall, highly satisfying and will be fun to watch many, many times.
