Wow, they must have given you the batteries with the secret sauce in them. Do they still make 36 volt tools? Not sure I've ever seen any.

Regardless of race, it's easy for me dino to imagine a stinky patch of slimy green hair is on all their backs.
It's evidence that extraterrestrial humanoid walking erect lizard people reside hidden inside their pseudo-human forms nonetheless deliberately designed to look warped by an abstract artist who is a brain-eater from Venus..

In Wisconsin the cow is suntanning on the hood of that car. .Where I live in Minnesota, the cow gets in the car to get out of the weather.

Now that B&D/DeWalt have merged with Standley here in CT, I am not sure they are the HQ unique tools they used to be but the ones at work, (Killingworth True Value) seem to work fine.

Most of my Bats are at least 15 years old and will do a hard days work. I have most of the power tools DeWalt made up until 09 when we all got laid off with a one year of severance pay. We all kept the tools. 3 drills, impact, (which I use mostly) circular saw, recip, bat and plug in, plug in impact, jig, grinder, bat and plug, 16" slide miter, plainer, routers and a few unique B&D tools that just won't die. Must have at least 12 18v bats, two 14vs and 2 12vs. I have replaced 2 18s so far.
They made us give back the 36volt tools...damn, they were my favs...kicked the competitions ass with those...still have 2 36v bats and a charger and can't find a used 36v tool to use them with.

I got my set of DeWalt tools (1/2" drill, 6 1/2" saw, & two batteries) in hard plastic case as my retirement gift in 2006. The first batteries lasted about a year so I called DeWalt and she asked for the date code. Turned out they were about two years old and she informed me that the NiCds were good for about three years after manufacture whether used or not. She sent me two new ones. I've used generics since those gave out as they're about 1/2 price but it's hard to find NiCds now as most are NiMH. They'll work but the charger won't recognize when they are going bad.
I did find that you can zap each cell with several volts higher (I used a 9V) than the cell, it blasts the dendrites that have started shorting the cell.

Somewhere Over The Rambo gave me a chuckle for some stupid reason.
Me dino never thought of meatier pronounced the same as meteor before.
The smell of a mowed lawn making a vegan's mouth begin to water caused me to think of my only lib of four brothers living out his retirement with a girlfriend who doesn't believe in marriage.
She's a vegan and my skinny lib bro acts like a vegan when he's with her.
Should he come for a visit alone, I've noticed that he will wolf down a hamburger like it is the yummyist thing in the world.
Recall him once telling me he does not have a problem with a woman who does not shave her armpits and her legs.
A year later his woman came for a visit to a house by a Florida lake my family owns during a good ole' summer time. Guess what I saw?

That's funny...I too have those tools and batteries...I used to work for DeWalt...some of the best years and job of my life. My tools and batteries are now almost 20 years old and still working well.

You can still get the ole 18 volt batteries at Home Depot.
Beware of copy cats, (look the same without the DeWalt identification) they are a bear to remove from the tool.

I like the last one regarding touching the food best. But I do have a drill that uses that same battery and felt the same way but I soon quit when I tapped it against my head to make sure it was engaged. Should have had a hard hat on I guess. 😉
