In our rural setting the problem is coyotes. They'll take new-born lambs or calves, and a good donkey is often the best defense. Donkeys hate coyotes and will kill them. I'm hoping we find a way to replace the nation's Demodrats with real donkeys.

Our own donkey has one fault--when it's lambing time she tries to protect the lambs from their own mothers!
