So...Any race in this half of the nation that was close ended up being strung out until the Dem votes added up to a victory. The ONLY exception I know of is the race for Nevada Governor. Somehow, the incumbent Dem was voted out in the midnight hour. The only message the Dems ran with on the advertising was abortion. I started thinking that if a guy is running for Dog Catcher he better not be pro-life. But...that worked! Is that all that people value? - the ability to get an abortion. That said, the Republicans failed to form a solid message. They just seemed to bank on a pissed-off electorate that is struggling to feed their kids going into the midterm. I saw a former Bush speech writer talking on tv after the election saying, "The Republicans are going to have to figure out how to appeal to the citizens to have a chance going forward." I stopped sipping my coffee long enough to say, "Do what DeSantis does..." To complicated?... What am I missing? Is the fraud too deep and unpunished (not punished at all)? Has the American mind melted into some kind of one-thought (abortion) goo?
