NetZero destroys NetZero: Europe can’t make solar panels because green electricity costs too much.

Excerpt:
"Ironies don’t get better than this: Thanks to the renewable energy transition, Europe can’t afford to make renewable energy.
When will the message get through that renewable energy is not sustainable?

Solar Panel Manufacturing assembly line.European photovoltaic plants and battery cell factors are temporarily closing or quitting altogether because of obscenely high electricity prices. When the plants were built they expected to pay €50/MWh, but now they are €300 – 400/MWh. And the situation may last another couple of years, so it’s hard to see how these manufacturers can avoid leaving permanently.

So much for all the solar jobs. Europeans are being reduced to being installers while the production of panels shifts to coal fired China because electricity is so much cheaper. Most of the wind turbine industry has already moved to China."

I have solar backup for real emergencies. I would NEVER rely on it for everyday power. Our local renewable energy consortium (which will sign you up without asking) recently closed down --temporarily--because its rates were too much higher than the existing utilities. This consortium recruited its customers on the promise that their environment-friendly solar and wind setups would keep electric bills lower. Not. Didn't happen, and now they have to refund some money. I never signed up, had to fight to keep my name.off their call list , and really got tired of shady "reps".knocking on my door to sweet-talk me into joining. I put up no-trespassing signs and called police until they left me alone. Several were arrested for scams. I fumed and wrote in favor of nuclear power, but who wanted to listen back then?

I asked someone who puts up these windmills if they can withstand a 180 mph hurricane wind and he said, 'Hell no. And it would take us 3 months to put them back up.' He also told me we are getting a solar panel 'farm' just a few miles from where I live. Duh!

Solar and Windmill parts and installation are all COG (Coal, Oil, Gas) derivatives. The sunlight and wind is renewable -- the hardware is not -- when it reaches its end of life, it must be replaced. These so-called renewables do not create enough net energy for their own replacement -- as such, we have simply pulled the COG extraction curve from the future into the present (often with debt) and will need to pay, again with COG, to replace the solar and windmill parts 20 years post-installation... it's all just another form of kicking the damned can down the road.

Full control over a destroyed world is better for them than being exposed and executed by their so-called inferiors.

    we looked into solar
i asked, we were told the panels degrade about 1% each year

i wanted solar to charge batteries for emergency use

    Now that's funny!

Given Europe took their energy policy from a child with Asperger’s syndrome, they simply got what the paid for.

If they followed the ORIGINAL Plans in the 1970s to switch from OIL to Nuclear, and we allowed for newer designs (Closer to France, and even better, the new Gen IV)...

We would not have such risk in our Power Grid!
And we would not be facing these issues.

    It's an absolute shame!

I bet... When we end up being KILLED by their poor planning... the truth will come out.

    Last Newspaper Headline:
"WEF Announces it was Wrong as it commits Suicide without slave labor to feed it!"

In an unrelated story. An AI paid another AI $1.00 and said "I never thought you'd get them to do it!"

    ROTFLMAO!

Europe cant do much because statism costs too much. Neither can the USA, for that matter with its leftist brand of statism

By definition, wind and solar are not sustainable or an acceptable main grid energy source. Simply put, they each require more energy to make them than one can ever retrieve from them. Solar needs about 60 years to break even, and wind needs about 30 years. These times are significantly longer than expected lifetimes of these systems. Of course, a Texas hail storm can make short work of a solar farm, and the windmills do not like our heat.

So obvious that it's rich in humor. Cali is running with glee right into the same wall, they can already see and feel the beginnings of the end result and the don't care.

    It would be funny......

Planned destruction of the sovereignty of Nations.
All to kill and enslave with CBDC central bank digital currency. They don’t like how you behave or how a family member behaves ……shut you off and no money! I sometimes wonder why the posts
if we have already lost? Personally, I post them for the Great Awakening so we win.

closest we can have for one of those would be solar in orbit

but we'd need a REAL Space Program for that

    as of right now
solar panels and wind farm parts are all hazardous waste when they are done being useful

Hey no problem, we haven't yet explored electric perpetual motion machines. They are sustainable by definition. Just think it, and it works! Kind of like solar.
