I am a fan of the Atlas Shrugged movie trilogy, and have purchased all three DVDs. I am not all that well read on Ayn Rand, but from what I HAVE read, I find the world view from Rands novels resonating with my own view.

If you'd like the bare bones of Objectivism I'd suggest reading her essays: The Objectivist's Ethics and Man's Rights.
After that a little historic trip of Thomas Paine on The Rights of Man, and perhaps, Frederic Bastiat; The Law.
