Suppose somebody wrote about lung cancer, then said that a significant number of those who contracted it were smokers (and then recommended that, to avoid it, people would be well -advised either to quite smoking or not start in the first place).--Would there be a lot of screaming about smokers' being discriminated against, and not being helped, being oppressed, etc,? Oh yeah, I seem to remember that such views were being expressed, but I don't recall many such complaints.

Actually, reporting facts isn't an option for leftist media.

The ZeroHedge article by Ben Bartee, originating in the Daily Bell, asserts correctly that leftist media consternation comes from the intrinsic SJW need to spread terror and fear, generating a crisis that might improve Democrat chances in coming elections with lockdowns and universal mail-in balloting--vs the imperative to prevent any negative public perception of favored "at risk" classes or groups.
