This is right on and so sad at the same time. I live reasonably close to the Canadian border and in years past would go there for touring, shopping, dining, fishing, and visiting friends. We used to cross the border back and forth with no hassle at all. Then things started to change with "papers please" crap and other things that made the experience less pleasurable. Haven't visited in about a decade. Now likely never again.

I appreciate the trucker's strike but yesterday I went to Walmart and Fred's Purina dry food wasn't there. The shelves were empty! Now this is going too far. My little Fred is most particular and he likes that Moist and Meaty Purina dry food! Enough is Enough! N

The Wife has bought and stored in our living room/dinning room about a years worth of dog food...along with toilet paper/paper towels and napkins...a bunch of other stuff too, what ever she finds empty on the shelves that we normally buy, she stocks up.

Who would ever think one would need a Barn sized Pantry!

You need to stock up for yourself and Fred. Things may get a lot worse so keep the important stuff on hand. Identify more than one source for what you need - if Walmart runs out of what you want/need who else can you turn to? Shop at those alternative sources from time to time, too, even if it costs a bit more just to help keep them in the supply chain.

Shelves were bare even before the Truckers strike and the California shipping ports fiasco, but yes, it didn't help. Never thought I'd see the day when Europe had more sense than America...oh the shame of it!

It didn't take long for Joebama to extend the gov't crisis powers past March 1 as soon as the guy North of the border did. I have a feeling that the US truckers won't be as nicer when they get to DC.

What is happening in Canada is a dress rehearsal for what shall happen here.
A protesting American truck convoy en route to Washington D.C. will be driving into a trap.
It's the same trap Trudeau has already sprung in Canada.

Well, I have been thinen...maybe we should take piglocy's metal fence and fence in the truckers for protection...make it ELECTRIC!...arm all protestors with TASERS and use drones to bring fuel and food....AND if they should lob tear gas, we'll have a baseball team to smack em back at em.

Those truckers first converting all their assets to cash and finding a good place to hide it all strikes me dino as a good idea. Even a money belt can be "confiscated."
