First, Bill, I thank you for your dedication and service. I can't imagine the feelings you have in saying, "I can’t wear the uniform in good conscience any more." but hope you find peace and a good life in retirement. My heart goes out to you.
I'll add that recently after flying the Stars and Stripes in my front yard for more than 40 years I sadly took it down when I came to believe a communist totalitarian regime has somehow crept into our government. In its place I hauled up the Grand Union flag George Washington flew over his camp at the beginning of the Revolutionary War that birthed our nation. A silent protest on my part.
Welcome Bill. I'll grieve with you on the impetus of your retirement. I had an uncle, 6 year Marine, 25 Navy Aviation. Capt. Ret, Asst Chief Naval Flight training. He was already warning and acting on what is occurring today.

Welcome to the Gulch.
