Hey D: Little dark here. A mean old dog attacked Fred this a.m. The Police Department sent four officers and the Humane Officer. Four of my neighbor guys responded to my screams and one (Chad) his wife was crying. I thought Fred was a goner. That is one tough little dog. He had two abrasions and that 60 pound monster that attacked him was trying to kill him. Fred weighs 26 pounds. The Vet was furious she never even muzzles Fred. He's a bit droopy tonight but he'll be okay. N

    It's 5:00 a.m. and I'm worried. He seems to have a fever. His paws and his nose are hot. Gave him a Pediatric Aspirin and his anti-biotic. He sure is droopy.

      Sorry to hear this and I hope Fred recovers fully! Are there repercussions toward the attacker and owners? Some folks in my neighborhood have mean dogs. I could never understand that since there are children playing all about and walking to/from school. Also, more responsible dog owners would like to walk their pets without being molested.

        I shudder when I think about the attack on Fred happening to a child. Makes me want to scream again. Yes. The gentleman owner of the dog inquired about Fred and offered to repay me the $121 I paid my vet. I felt sorry for him losing his dog and thanked him. He's having the dog put down. Apparently there have been other incidents and the property owners are furious. I think they made him an offer he couldn't refuse.
