I live in a bubble where this stuff doesn't affect me. A lot of people like me probably won't care until it affects them directly. It's not that I'm waiting for them to come for me. It's that I don't get what's going on in Texas and California. I live in Florida and people are able to ignore all this here because it's not happening to them.

It seems their thought process has gone from "is it the right thing" (if they ever thought that) to "is it legal" to "can I get away with it".

The thing is: they know it's wrong and they don't care. It's a matter of "What can I do; how much can I get away with, and how much damage can I cause, before I get stopped by the courts?" A lot of bad stuff can happen while waiting for a judge to hear a case, and a lot of that bad can't be undone.

I don't think they are nuts. I think they are power-hungry.

I would bet our Governor would activate every kind of law enforcement we have in this state to prevent this baloney! He alone is charged with protecting our public health, not anyone in the White House! That guy can be impeached also!
