This makes me think about the sort of mental wiring that makes a person choose to create and set out such a device ... and how that person must realize:
(a) The victim of the "prank" will likely be some random passer by.
(b) The person pulling the "prank" will not be around to see the results.
This is literally a random act of violence.

Back in my day, as kids, we would get our hands on a crap ton of fire-crackers and bottle-rockets (think of the old Black Cat variety that you can get for a few dollars for a gross of rockets, and bricks of crackers, etc). Then, we take them out to the pasture (my dad had some cattle on the hobby farm)... and you press the firecrackers into fresh cow pies ... sometimes bundling them... set off the fuse and run. It's all about the timing here, folks ... you run ... and turn just in time for the explosion - - BOOM! And it was sort of a contest, selecting the right "bundle" of firecrackers, the orientation, fuse length, the proper moisture content of the inert material ... and see just how high the payload travels ... the dispersion volume... And best of all, you try to set the package and light the fuse just in time so that the blast resulted in one of your friends being hit with shit. Of course there was the mandatory Clean Up Operation, including decontamination in the small plastic kiddie pool in the backyard.

Yup. Those were the good old days when a summer afternoon of blowing up shit was quite literally that. Sigh . . .

this is a scary time. I have heard of coke and alcohol (I think) that will go off in a capped bottle. This one waits until its moved, very nasty. Maybe Kamala, Nancy, Hillary, AOL, and Chuck should watch out for something like this left by "karma" for their nefarious deeds.

Reminds me of when we were kids we would wrap dog feces in paper, set it on fire, leave on someone's front poarch, then ring the door bell and run. Somebody would invariably come to the door and instinctivly stomp on it. Lots of colorful language, bie nobody lost fingers.

I used to play with these as a kid. It goes off pretty much no matter what in less than a minute so the warning is hot air. But hey it will kill your grass.
