If you read nothing else this Memorial Day, make it this excellent piece by Andrew Bernstein, written in 2005. And re-post it to your pages of choice in personal media:

And note the conspicuous silence among our politicians - of whatever Party - on the subjects of freedom and of individual rights. Indeed, much of the ills that the collectivist Left have regurgitated onto the body politic over the last few years, particularly racial collectivism, would fall like vampires to garlic to the simple concept of individualism alone. Yet politicians, most tellingly non-Democrat politicians, act as though the word "individualism" is not in their vocabularies. "Freedom" is even more rare.

The best thing for the People is for everyone in DC to make the ultimate sacrifice that politicians hypocritically praise.
But none will do so willingly. Traitors abound in the Dark Center.
The twittering of both parties today is nothing more than hypocrisy. Few, if any, of them are worthy to wipe my boots on.
The political class in DC has been sending brave men to their deaths for evil purposes for two centuries.

I'm considerably more critical of Donald-Trump-as-politician than most on the Republican side, because it is vital to demand of our politicians activism for liberty that is at least as radical as the collectivist crowd's activism for statism and slavery. But I give credit where credit's due, and though he didn't touch on Individualism, today Trump used the "F" word, refreshingly, also the "L" word:
