CDC Tells Americans To Avoid Cheering During Super Bowl

Now Big Brother deems it necessary to TELL us how to have fun. Next they will be telling us how to wipe and blow our noses and other offices. I suppose all of the snowflakies and Karen’s will be watching the bowl to observe for and to report all violations. Remember we are only to have fun as per party guidelines and permission.

I haven’t paid any attention to the super bowl in over 20 years and certainly will not listen to anything the cdc (ccp-cdc) has to say. It will be a good day to put in some range time ....

    I think they're taking this whole control thing too far. I'm probably late to the party...haha. I think that, not just us here, but a vast majority of people need to get clarity on the control matrix - the centralized system that's hell-bent on managing every little thing we do. This is approaching Winston hiding in the corner to write in the notebook he keeps hidden in the wall. Seriously...we're getting there. I would like to add a link here for something to think about. One of my favorite golf celebrities just posted this and I thought it was quite astute. I hope you take it in...and see that it applies to us all, really. Thanks...

    "No pro sport deserves a second of my time, attention or money." Ditto. Been that way for years. If I happen to be on a news channel, sports coming on is my clue to grab the clicker. Even those little snippets are a waste of my valuable life span. As I get older those snippets of lifetime are even more valuable. Just MHO - others are free to decide on their own.

    With that said, have I attended professional sporting events? Yes - when the company I worked for is using the event as a social gathering. I pig out at the buffet, have a great time with my coworkers and then leave when I feel like it. Who's playing? I don't really care - thanks for the free food and the laughs!

    Edit add: I was recently visiting a relative who was a sports enthusiast for certain teams and I had to sit there one afternoon and get tortured during the visit. One saving grace was the completely hilarious playing of the "crowd roars" sound tracks whenever somebody at the studio figured the crowd should roar during the game - the camera crews and editing staff tried to keep it tight, but it was obvious the stands were nearly empty. It was as amusing as a laugh track forced on viewers during an unfunny sitcom. Barf. LOL!
