Basketball is biased against short people. I urge #shutdownbasketball because it is weaponized against height challenged people.

OK, I am not serious, but I posted this after reading what appears to be a serious article titled: "'Academics' Nationwide Urge #ShutDownSTEM Because Science Is "Weaponized Against Black People""
https://www.zerohedge.com/political/a...
If science should be stopped because the methods required to achieve excellence (the scientific method) are biased against blacks then it is just as rational to end all organized sports because they are biased against people who haven't learned to be excellent at sports.
While we are at it, end politics because it is biased against people who haven't learned public speaking - like Joe Biden.
And end all taxation because it is biased against many people who haven't learned to to do proper accounting.
And end manufacturing of all drugs, and end the practice of medicine altogether because it is biased against people who can't pronounce long names of drugs and the long names of diseases they are used to treat.

And stop all breathing because it is biased against people who have asthma.

I thought basketball is already known to be biased: It is racist because so many of the best and most successful players are obviously white supremacists.

Science isn't weaponized against black people, but most certainly is unjustly weaponized against ignorance, with the horrendous consequences of peaceful cultural genocide against the Dark Ages that had a right to control. #ShutDownTheEnlightenment

The people who are proposing to #shutdownSTEM and end science would have fit in well during the Inquisition.
Kill all the scientists! It's too hard for some people! I need my safe space! I want my Super Bowl Participation ring!

    AS non-fiction.

Why would you not be serious? It is a valid argument based on what is going on. Extreme, yes, but still the same concept.

    AS is non-fiction.

As one of the privileged 6'+ I demand you all recognize my basketball superiority by going under my house to fix my pipes... ;)

Seriously, though, this goes back to my favorite sci-fi short story: Kurt Vonnegut's Harrison Bergeron. Instead of celebrating excellence, society punishes it. We're closer than we like to admit.

Laughing...I was under 5' tall until my late teens but I was a good basketball player...I could run and dribble faster than everyone else. When out for Track too...but never developed the last min. kick when needed.

Being vertically challenged, I alos lived thrught the gender challenged days when no one wanted to give a car loan to a single woman, but I persvered and got my Malibu SS even then. Dumbing down is the name of the game today, if they are not taught science or other academics in gov. schools, then it must be that those who learn it are racist. Bull. That was not the case in the 50s, when black musicians actually learned how to read music and play an instrument with awesome effects. Now, we devolved into rap, and they are so rich, thanks to tone deaf idiots, that they drive tricked ut SUVs and hae multiple multi million $ homes. Americ is officially dumbed down, and AOC is the poster child.
