Shakes head. If they feed the crocodile, maybe it will eat them last. Some are no surprise as they've been left wing pandering for years.

Interesting to see health care costs (United Health Group), as if they're not high enough already, being given away to political movements.

Some of these I already boycott like Target for not letting veterans to sell poppies on Veterans Day or allowing Salvation Army Santa Clauses at Christmas, Subway for their "stupid white male" commercials, and Ben & Jerry's for supporting socialism. I've also been actively not using Amazon whenever possible - still stuck with them from time to time.

You and I and others are doing what we can on a personal basis. Someone needs to set up a central site online to encourage and widen these boycotts.

Oh, I forgot to mention my wife and I no longer go to Starbucks. The company just sanctioned the wearing of BLM t-shirts and other items at their stores. They can keep their political crap and their coffee and we'll keep our money.

Haven't been to SB in years. Never liked any of their products. Burned cheap coffee beans at ridiculous prices.

We used to go through SB to start off our little day trips 4 or 5 times a week. No more. My wallet is fatter now, too! We pack our own drinks/snacks at home now like we did before all this drive-through craze started. We're definitely better off.

        Any Blimpies near you?
        https://www.blimpie.com/menu/subspani...
Porsche quote is "We stand in solidarity with the peaceful protesters." Pretty obvious public relations move, but now they need to state that all lives matter.

Me dino learned from watching Carlson and Hannity last night that publicly stating "All lives matter" can get you fired or your place of business looted and burned.
Last week I told PC keyboard "pen pal" Suzanne that local Subways finally opened and I got to eat Subway meatball foot-long that I've been craving for over a month.
Guess she tried one. Looked up Blimpie locations with my zip code. The nearest Blimpies to my Birmingham area are in Huntsville, AL, and Atlanta, Ga. Both are roughly a four-hour round trip.

I wouldn't drive 4 hours for a sub either, dino.
I haven't eaten at a restaurant in 6 months and probably twice in 6 months before that. There's a high probability that eating out will upset my stomach based on attempts in the past 5 years. At home the food is better and the risk of upset is minuscule.

Actually, when you mentioned being hungry for a meatball sub, it made me want one, too. It's on my list of things to do this summer, if I want to give Subway my business.

I'll get weak after a while. Always bring a meatball sub home because due to red sauce they can get messy.
Used to love taking tuna Subways to work both at the prison (retiring 2003) and later to the various posts of semi-retired security guard jobs (fully retiring 2013). I never ever wanted a hot tuna. I'd buy a foot-long and eat half at one post and a day or two later take the other half out of the fridge and eat it at the same or another work site. I've guarded everything between busy banks and empty churches. If a work site had a microwave, I would at times zap a bag of popcorn or warm a sandwich made at home. Eating a lunch during a day or a night shift was always the fun part of guarding anything.
Best paying security jobs was at a Wakovia data center (armed) and a Mercedes plant (unarmed).
The Mercedes plant was by treaty actually considered to be on German soil though located halfway between Birmingham and Tuscaloosa along Interstate 20/59. Ja, vit vas!

You have lived an interesting life, Dino.
I'll remember to have a pile of napkins with me when I get my meatball sub. The tuna sub sounds good, too.

Just be sure to wear an "All Lives Matter" shirt when you go in to Subway.
If you want the cowardly assholes at Subway to stop destroying your rights you must do something to stop them. Buying their products and letting them use your money to steal your rights is not the way.

Must say that you are right. In my area of Indiana, most of the population is Conservative. Thus the restaurants that my husband and I go to are owned by Conservatives
Interesting aside...one restaurant owner had Fox News on his TV. Some people walked in for supper and demanded that he change the channel to CNN. He wouldn't do it. So they said that they were leaving. He told them not to let the door hit them on the way out. We need more like this guy.

We do business with these companies every day, it would be really hard to avoid doing business with all these companies directly but what about indirectly, do we even know the extent of that?

They are already weakened. A threat to their business is worth doing. There are alternative businesses for many of them.
NASCAR should be dead meat. Cowards don't deserve any fan support. Wonder what contracts they have with drivers.
Turning the other cheek isn't working.

I would like to see a boycott of NASCAR on First Amendment basis and protection of our history.

True story I may have told in the Gulch before: I've done Civil War reenacting for about 22 years, both sides depending on the event. Unknown to many, American Civil War reenacting is popular worldwide and I've personally met fellow reenactors from Germany, Sweden, Norway, England, Australia, and Russia. One of the English reenactors came to live in the USA and became a member of my local unit. About 15 years ago I asked him why American Civil War reenacting was so popular in England because there were a number of civil wars in England they could do. He replied because there can not be an accurate portrayal because the flags, uniforms, and paraphernalia of the losers are outlawed. My response was that wouldn't happen here because of the Constitution and we can do as we wish.

Uh huh. What Constitution? What freedom? Eventually the only places to do a decent American Civil War reenactment will not be in America. Looks like Orwell got everything right except the date.
