'You're Not The End All': Rand Paul Slams Fauci In Heated Exchange Over Lockdowns

"The history of this when we look back will be wrong prediction after wrong prediction after wrong prediction... As much as I respect you, Dr. Fauci, I don't think you're the end all, I don't think you're the one person that gets to make a decision," said Paul - who added that we need to "observe with an open eye what happened in Sweden, where the kids kept going to school."

"The mortality per capita in Sweden is actually less than France, less than Italy, less than Spain, less than Belgium, less than the Netherlands, about the same as Switzerland. But basically I don't think there's anybody arguing that what happened in Sweden is an unacceptable result. I think people are intrigued by it, and we should be."

"I don't think any of us are certain when we do all these modelings - there have been more people wrong with modeling than right. We're opening up a lot of economies around the US, and I hope that people who are predicting doom and gloom and saying 'oh, we can't do this, there's going to be a surge' - will admit when there isn't a surge."

Fauci has been in the DC swamp for more than thirty years. What's even more important is that he hasn't seen an actual patient in at least that long. And probably the most telling: why didn't he recommend global shutdowns for any of the other respiratory viruses in the past decade+ including H1N1, avian flu, swine flu, SARS, etc.? Pretty suspicious if you ask me...

I told this story on a post 2 weeks ago. I have known him for 29 years. He is very good at entrenching his power. His bad science almost cost my daughter her life. In late 1990 Fauci and an infectious disease FDA panel recommended that Baxter- travenol not screen and remove Hepatitis C infected blood donors from the product Gamma Guard the idea was that recievers would get anti-bodies for HEP C as an added benefit from those infected people. . Right after that 1990 decision, my daughter was diagnosed with strep throat. Her doctor prescribed med for that and one of the side effects unfortunately effected her.
I carried her two days later into The emergency room with Avery high heart rate. The side effect was acute AIHA Auto Immune Hemalitic Anemia. As opposed to chronicAIHA.
Her white blood cells were eating her red blood cells. Her heart and respiratory system were on overdrive trying to deliver oxygen to her body.
The immediate treatment was to infuse Gamma Guard a product packed with hemoglobin concocted from literally thousands of blood donors. A few Weeks later I read a story in the WSJ that 7 people had contracted Hep C from GammaGuard. Sure enough I talked to her specialist Dr about it. First he said she didn’t have that prod. , I respectfully disagreed and the nurse verified that I was correct. Two vials of her blood were to be sent to Atlanta CDC infectious disease administration. At the time gene seQuencing or genetic markers was how to get diagnosed. The process would be 4-6 mos.. After 9 mos had expired and no results and a fairly apathetic specialists office about the situation. I had my first conversation with Fauci. See , I had been talking to the NAtional institute of Health liver specialist on and off for 5 mos learning everything he knew about the consequences of having Hepatitis C.
I learned how this tainted product was approved and I learned of Fauci’s involvement for the first time. Fauci took my call and I explained that we have been waiting for the results from my daughters blood sample. Fauci asked me to hold he set the phone down and l could hear his footsteps as he went to retrieve something. Quickly he returned and asked my daughters birthday. I told him . He asked her Initials and he said was she at Children’s Hospital in St Paul. Yup.
Fauci said “we lost the name card so we have just been storing this sample” . He then said they would “put a fast track on it”. “ Results should be to your doctor in a few weeks” of course they weren’t and we had our second conversation a month later. This time he apologized and put me on hold .He said just instructed his technician to start ASAP on it. Since he was somewhat contrite I started to grill him on what he knew about Hep C. In short order i knew he had little knowledge of its long term consequences and the fact at the time it was incurable and ultimately resulted in kidney failure. Shortly after that conversation within the week.We got the diagnosis that yes my 9 year old had Hepatitis C. Phil Paffley from Robins Kaplan Miller and Cersei called me and wanted my daughter to be “ the poster girl” for the lawsuit they were bringing against Baxter.
The lawyers wanted another sample sent to CDC fir verification. That presented me with a few additional conversations with Fauci. When I confronted Him at that time about the FDA panels decision to include HEP C infected blood into GammaGuard his best excuse was “it was the best science at the time”. Haha Now if you did your homework you would find the 4 HIV patents Fauci owns will be needed for any vaccine related to COVID19 type a,b,c,d,e,. Maybe his estimate of up to 2,000,000 US fatalities makes a bit more sense. Since then a worldwide administered vaccine for all on the planet is being pushed. Or his close friendship with Gates and the accused Ethiopian genocidal WHO Director General. Plus plus plus....

once again...AYN RAND WROTE ABOUT THE STATE SCIENCE INSTITUTE FOR A REASON. Your story, Dobrien, sadly is repeated every day in the country because of the government-healthcare complex. You'd appreciate my NIH story. They asked for guidance on autism research. I gave it. They went ballistic.

Wow. I'm so sorry to hear about your daughter, but that is just one more confirmation that this guy is a scumball. I hope Trump retires him after this is over.

I've observed similar, blarman. That is Fauci is not really a practicing medical doctor. He has been a bureaucrat for over several decades, not a practicing medical professional. Even his cited models don't work and he pretends to have knowledge of them - and doesn't because he isn't a computer scientist, either.

and assumptions that go into them.

My first real exposure to modeling like this was in high school in an environmental science class. They brought in this large device which was basically a fancy scoreboard controlled by switches and knobs. You could "input" various assumptions and it would model the outcome on the environment. While we were playing w/it in between sessions I discovered the back side had additional settings that entirely changed the outcome and basically controlled it. By that I mean that, once changed, the "predictions" made by the front side and its human operator didn't pan out anymore. She was quite embarrassed when that started happening - she didn't know about the built in assumptions on the back. My physics teacher knew what I did, however, and after class privately commended me. Muahahaha. Yeah I've always been like this.

That's awesome! Congrats for figuring it out!

Of course this also has its parallel in real life. The progressives have created all kinds of these models with built-in assumptions. How I'd love to go in there like you did and tweak things just to make them look like the ideologues they are...

I bet he is a democrat and wants the economy to crash to keep Trump from getting re-elected. I cant imagine what Biden or Obama would have done. Maybe sat on their hands and did nothing- maybe it would be over by now with the economy untouched.

I cannot wait to see what the second wave they all claim is coming will look like... that will be extremely informative. It may determine whether or not i sell all American holdings.

We already fled Houston, TX on 5 MAR as i could tell President Trump was lying about CV being "under control". It is better here... so far.

The whole idea of a virus being "under control" is a myth. The bigger farce is that they assume that it didn't start infecting the US populace until March despite people in China having it in December, celebrating Chinese New Year, then taking it back with them...

In order to minimize the risk of the virus, we need herd immunity. And given the virulent spread, I think its pretty much useless to pretend we can wait a year for a vaccine. We need to just accept the fact that people are going to get this and arrange for the people at lowest risk to resume business and get over the bug.

This virus seems to be much more contagious than others we have dealt with. Too late for herd immunity. Too late for a vaccine (assuming it actually is vetted per our established procedures to ensure both effectiveness and safety). That said, they'll skip the normal trials and force it on school kids and possibly on anybody who needs to fly. We'll know where we sit on that by August, I think.

I've not been sick for 15 years. Not a sniffle. I was talking with my doctor again yesterday about this. It's mainly because I have been pretty disciplined on the measures I take to protect myself against the common flu. And, I have a very strong immune system. I also haven't had a vaccine for 15 years. My daughter is 10 now and has never been sick, not once. And, she goes to regular, crowded school. THAT is a miracle...haha.

I should hope Anthony S. Fauci is not the end-all! Someone here has already compared him to Dr. Robert Stadler. I would compare him to Floyd Ferris! Take a look at this essay that reveals two things: one, the virus is not nearly as severe as Dr. Fauci says. Two, Dr. Fauci is a patent troll and worse than a con artist.

I have lost a lot of respect for the fouci crew in recent weeks, as their models have been wrong over and over. The whole idea of their being millions of deaths if we did no draconian shutdowns but just allowed each person to deal with his/her own risks if I think way overblown. The "millions" model was even far greater than what actually happened with the spanish flu in 1918.

The genetic stability of this corona virus appears to be a lot better than with the spanish flu, where in it was the 2nd mutated wave that killed most of the people. Corona doesnt appear to be mutating.

" The whole idea of their being millions of deaths if we did no draconian shutdowns ..."

Far be it from me to burst someones bubble over the models being bad, but the models were predicting that with the draconian measures. Granted, those were not in the high probability category, but still you gotta know that.

WITH measures more draconian than we did, we got no better results than Sweden which did almost nothing, and even we didn't come anywhere near what they said we get if we did the draconian lockdown they were proposing. THAT is how bad they were.

"The genetic stability of this corona virus appears to be a lot better than with the spanish flu,"

One of the things the media is amazingly silent on is this fact. Its mutation rate is low has an additional value: a rate this low also means the community spread is NOT as wide as is assumed. Every community spread is an opportunity for mutation. With low spread you have low mutation, and high spread means high mutation. Most mutations are non-functional, and we see this in SARS2 mutations. Low mutations means low spread. This matches up with the MLB study and the low r0 value.

Please note something. We keep hearing about this "Kawasaki syndrome". This is based on the kawasaki disease, which was forever linked with mercury poisoning. I first studied this over a decade ago while studying about....autism. The similarities between the disease and autism are impossible to ignore.

Our kids are not like my generation when we were kids. These kids have been subjected to a much different, extensive soup of known neurotoxins, one of which causes a collection of problems from porphyrin/"mitochondrial disorder" to gut problems. MERCURY! We've been seeing these kawasaki-like gut problems in children in America for 20 f&^ing years! I am going to venture out on a limb here and say to everybody, including Fauci, that this syndrome and COVID19 are independent of each other. I'm somewhat incensed by the arrogance, really. Next, he might tell us that the autism and COVID are linked. Might as well... This guy is shooting from the hip. He's not a dummy. But, I am concerned about his influence - as Rand Paul is.

Fauci has a vested financial interest in foisting vaccines on everyone as he has partnered with Bill Gates. He should recuse himself from the task force or President Trump should fire him now!

covid 19 is one of many viral infections that can produce post infectious inflammatory response. It is definitely not unique. Similar in process with different clinical symptoms to enteroviral d68 producing the flaccid paralysis. I usually will see a case of Kawasaki's 1x a year on average, The key here will be looking at the underlying associated risk factors eg vit d etc.

When you see Kawasaki do you test for mercury? Thanks for your input on this.

It is my understanding that d68 link has been somewhat of a mystery. What's not a mystery is that AFM typically affects young school age kids in the fall. I'm amazed at how little it impacts anybody else. Stunned, really. Of all things...I learned of this while assisting doctors in my dad's diagnosis of myasthenia gravis. Amazing what a man can learn when he turns off the tv and starts reading....

not generally as you would have to test both ethymercury and methymercury. Mercury if methy is generally also dependent on other factors to see if you have symptoms. I regularly eat much seafood so monitor my mercury levels , usually high ( in 20's) , but because my selenium levels are normal there are not symptoms. If it was straight mercury most of Japan would be poisoned. very dependent on cofactors

Yeah - one of my passions is long range tuna fishing. I'm loaded. But, I cherish the sport...and the omega 3s! I've always said that if I can't go 400 miles out and bring back some tuna and yellowtail we're pretty much finished....

I think that the entire lock down, if it were compared on the food chain would be catagoried as baloney. Or balogna? The virus is real enough and its characteristics, as far as it is known to date is likely real, however, it's volatility is greatly exaggerated, being no more deadly than the flu or pneumonia, neither of which required national sequestering.,
