This is none of the Federal Government's business, and the action on the part of our Dear Leader's Attorney General, Eric Holder, demonstrates the blatant racism that this administration has injected at any and every turn possible.

I think Holder wanted the second autopsy because he didn't get the results he wanted from the first one. They now say the "innocent black martyr" was shot six times. At 6'4", 292 pounds, you might wonder which of those bullets was able to stop him.

The purpose of the Fed autopsy has nothing to do with truth; it's purpose is to continue to exacerbate racial division.

Imagine their shock when the person they autopsy doesn't look like the young kid's picture the media keeps showing as the perp. When you see the video from the incident, it doesn't paint the 'poor abused innocent youth" picture quite as well...

Used to be... a criminal did something stupid and they showed pictures, it was of the criminal at the time he was committing the crime, not his endearing childhood photos.

Since both the state autopsy and the private autopsy conducted for the family have shown no shots in the back (so much for running away), and no shots to the underside of the arms (so much for the hands raised claim), it will be interesting to see if the DOJ autopsy magically invents a new result. No mention of any toxicology results (did they run a test?).

This young man was 6'4" and almost 300 lbs, and demonstrated his will to use that muscle to intimidate a much smaller man in the convenience store. I have no doubt he tried to show off to his friend by attempting to overpower the cop, and an independent witness (who should be under police protection) stated that he started to walk away, then turned and charged the officer.

Giving up six inches and a hundred pounds difference against a thug who's already attempted to grab his gun, I don't think the officer had many choices.

This is a way for the Obama/Holder justice department to communicate with the low information voter the concept "there is no matter too local for the federal government to ignore." This is a Ferguson Missouri matter, until they invite the county, state etc. As I read the Constitution I see no clause that covers local felony or misdemeanor crimes. Consequently all things not named to the Federal Government are left to the separate states, or to the people.

This is a difficult concept for our President. His resume states that he was a Constitutional Scholar and professor. This means he spent his academic carrier searching for the many ways he could circumnavigate the separation of powers. Phone, pen, and unwarranted opinions are all tools of his trade.

Worse than ridiculous. The family arranged for a private autopsy, by a very good forensic pathologist. Surely that ought to tell all anyone needs to know.

But I've known for some time: the DoJ is playing a dangerous game of provokatsiya.

The state officials and representatives are all about to lose their jobs this fall because of Obamacare. They probably ask the DoJ to take charge to keep their noses clean. I haven’t heard Senator Claire McCaskill's name mentioned once in recent years, whereas before she had been a major fundraiser for the president and enjoyed the notoriety and other perks that came from being on the ‘right-side’ of this administration.

I agree it makes no sense. Someone close to the family of the officer involved in the shooting indicated that the "gentle giant" was pushing the squad car door closed on the officer, and simultaneously going for the officer's gun. The gun apparently discharged during this struggle, but I didn't hear that anyone was struck.

The other way to look at it is that:

    - If there is any question over the credibility of the investigation, the State should step in and deal with it, which they have done.

    - Our Dear Leader and his so-called Justice Department has been anything but color-blind and has fomented racial problems.
    * Remember our Dear Leader's comment about "the Police acted stupidly" without knowing the facts, and was later shown to be ignorant on the entire matter?
    * Remember Eric Holder's non-treatment of the issue of voter intimidation by the new black panthers?
    * Etc.

    - The Justice Department is bending over backward to appease the black community in this situation without any regard to the facts of the case.

I can certainly be accused of having a "bear trap" mindset on this one, but I've seen enough of this thuggery in the current administration to get a sense of how they operate, and this is just more of the same.

Agreed, this is none of the federal government's business. If the city cops are behaving questionably, then the county and State can deal with it.

ETA: I think his friend’s description of what happened is not even possible. How did Wilson grab this thick-necked kid buy the neck by reaching through a window of a car? Does that even make sense?

I guess that is one way to look at it, YNGH. Another way to look at it is the police department has such a low credibility rating with the community, the DoJ almost has to look as if they are in charge of the evidence, in case the officer was justified. You don’t want the police department saying they didn’t find any wrong-doing.
Where’s at least is the toxicology report?
