Agreed. If he ever was to have a good reason to close the borders, the virus provides the reason. Stop all travel to foreign locations, too. Stopping travel only to hotspots is NOT enough. Today's vacation haven is tomorrow's hotspot. No one thought that Italy was a problem; now we have infected patients who were in Italy 3 weeks ago. How many people have they infected since their return? Hundreds? Thousands? Secondary and tertiary infections could be hundreds of thousands. Continuing to allow travel overseas is foolish. Every such trip is a public health threat.

Went by El Paso a few days ago and Trump's wall is looking quite impressive in that area, so it's not entirely a failure. It's a war with many battles and it isn't over yet. If Trump loses in November, it will be over.

He should get dinged for failing to seal the borders...related to his big campaign promise, too. He failed. There was an argument between CDC officials wanting to keep some people from getting on a plane back here, and Trump staffers arguing to bring them back.

Don't worry, the MSM's scapegoat in chief, President Trump, will get hit for it.

These are the same people who will rush a vaccine out without proper vetting and (especially here in California) make it mandatory. These are the same people who purposely brought people who tested positive back into the united states.

This virus is very bad juju. It's doing things we haven't seen before. And, since government medicine and politics are the religion des jour this is going to get very bad IMO. The government isn't going to make this right.

You know, it's not enough to say that the worst and least qualified find their way into these positions, in government and it's agencies. I've been wondering lately if there isn't something about government itself, that causes people to be stupid, lazy, corrupt or careless.
Maybe it's like the "City Syndrome" causing everyone in it to be dependent, less self sufficient; except in government, it causes them to be incompetent.
Maybe it's the Union that governs their service to us; taking all initiative away from them.

The Diamond Princess released passengers who later tested positive. They should have held them longer.

It appears the CDC's protocol for control of coronavirus is seriously flawed. This has been an area I have had concern over ever since the protocol was announced. This error may explain how the virus has spread without CDC traceable contact.

Was it intentional?

The 14 day protocol is in error. It must be modified.

In my opinion, it is also time to close the borders to all visitors and prohibit travel of Americans outside the US.
Recent infected patients have been infected outside the US. It must stop until the infection process is understood and controlled.
