Yes, I have studied that too, however, we have a ways to go before we have an orbit that is almost circular around the sun, I suspect it happens when our sun, solar system in tow, dives up or down to cross the galactic current sheet/equator.

It is also the reason I suspect that we did have a 360 day year in the past and will again in the future.
I think we could count our lucky stars that we are Not in that close orbit nor in the near future while we go though this catastrophe cycle.

Maybe that is what takes us Out of the Ice age?

That has been my thinking lately as a possible reason for the push for communism with them still in power.
It would be hard to incorporate capitalism into this scenario. I have been thinking of the ways inwhich we could.

One thing for sure is that we don't want these creatures to infect our existence anymore.

Another bit of data, that I am not sure is fully factored into the SO model, as they look short term compared to this idea, which looks at cycles very long term:

And THAT statement is reason for a large repository of knowledge and technology to be created somewhere. Maybe the deletes were doing that before the coming of the Trump and the Patriots? Maybe they have taken control of it? Have a percentage of smart, skilled people ( and that DOES NOT mean "educated elites") able to go to a site and stay through it until the system restores itself? Catastrophe is a breeding ground for a dictatorship, where people will trade all their freedoms for survival, maybe that is why all the early civilizations were all set up with a ruling class?

Would be nice to see the present 40% globally but you see the push to eliminate us in favor of the corrupt and feeble of brains.

The last time only saw less than 10K globally...not sure how that number surfaced, sketchy at best I think.

What percentage of "Conscious Human Value Creators" would remain after a celestial catastrophe?

There may be nothing left to restart with.

PS...We do have control over our survival as a species so long as we have the right information.

The Deletes have seen fit that we don't...

Just think of the industry that could have been developed to save all that will be needed for a restart, from raw survival to advanced tech all tucked away nicely and it's whereabouts transparent.
Oh sorry, I was pontificating as though we were All Conscious Human Value Creators.

It is reasonable to worry about things we have control over.

We have absolutely no control over anything of celestial origin.

If we worry about that, than our entire lifespan is spent with being freaked out permanently, and when the Grim Reaper comes, we can say "I managed it through life".

Not something we want to do with our life. After all, we have only one life.

Although we all worry about our own pain and suffering, my worry, for some dumb reason, is for Mankind itself; as I have studied...we've come a long way, baby. It would be ashame to have to start all over again for another 12 thousand year cycle.

My BFF is 12 years younger than I. She was a worry wart of the first order. She worried about everything before it happened. When I asked if her worrying changed anything, she stopped. .

Dear OUC...I don't even give a thought to climate change. Can't do a thing about it. Why worry?

Purposely over simplified so that everyone gets it. The understanding, of course, is that we can do Nothing but be prepared...it's Not your fault!
