brainwashed people
So, I recently spent some time with somebody very close to me. She used to be an expat, but came back to the US about 7 years ago. I've watched her transition radically in her thoughts since she came back. See...she watches CNN all the time in her retirement. I realized the depth of the dementia that can occur with this in our most recent conversations.
She showed me photos she took from her European vacation where she happened to visit a Nazi camp in Germany. Obviously, that's an example of one of the most sickening chapters in human history and a prime example of egregious use of force. She started to go off hinting that it's happening in America now (TDS...you know that acronym?) and I responded with, "You know they were socialists, right?" She went nuts. In a previous conversation Trump and impeachment came up. I stated, "Clinton was impeached." She denied that ever happened, even going so far to saw that the internet documentation of the event isn't true. This is somebody who I always saw as pretty intelligent.
Frightening...

And a nationalist too, right?
She wasn't wrong in her comparison. You need to read the Ominous Parallels by Peikoff and do some independent thinking on this subject, not mindlessly go along with the Trump cultists.
Yes.
"I didn't vote for him and I have no idea what he is. That's why I wasn't talking about him. She was."
Right, but then why are you concluding that she isn't intelligent if you're conceding you don't know anything about this anyway?
"Does Peikoff say I should turn in my guns?..."
No, but he tells you to think in principles, not in random positions, on random issues.
