I prefer using points of entry. In my house I’d rather people come through my open front door instead of through my window or over my fence.
In a more objectivist society I suspect “borders” would likely be part of private property.

I love open borders...just as soon as we do away with all forms of government assistance. You simply can't have open borders AND a welfare state. Ever...

I'm not sure we can call open borders right wing or left wing. In this narrative, so-called right wingers want cheap foreign labor. And so-called left wingers want to protect union labor. But aren't all of them, conservative and progressive, collectivists?

We have some statists here. But, I know many people who are Republican and statists, so I'm not really surprised by any of that here, as neocons and rinos will be attracted to forums like this. They mean well... To find any place on the internet where some of the regulars really understand true liberty is like finding a beautiful oasis in a huge desert.

Open borders is a right wing position.
Regulating immigration is left wing. It's the old democrat position which today is being championed by republicans who simply have no other ideas, so resort to picking up those the left discards.

Can you provide a link to the comment?

But there is a lot of confusion about the terms "left" and "right" in politics.
Properly defined right wing means individualist and left wing means collectivist.
A lot of posters here are not Objectivists, but are conservatives, who are just religious collectivists and therefore on the left wing side of politics.

There are leading Objectivist intellectuals who have made an unwavering case for open borders. Many are also vocal about Trump's anti-individualist policies.

As I explained in reply to your private message, I did not complain to anyone about your post. I merely posted my opinion as a reply to your post.
You are continuing to embarrass yourself and your unsupported accusations aren't worthy of another reply.

Actually, I believe he is saying that people here are the mainstream ineffective right, rather than the left.

Unfortunately, some people throw out the leftist insult without thought at anyone who disagrees with them. At least he isn't irrationally accusing others of being racists without evidence.
Either false accusation is irritating; I guess that is partially the intent.

I personally think we should all consider the thought of a coup! This really smells.
