    Just thought of it, this doubling of free snake oil is a very common political ploy. It is what our mate ewv would call pragmatism, it works, it gets votes, but next time the other party doubles again. Soon there is a shortage of snake oil, rioters demand the government do something, hospitals are allowed to import it from Iran, low interest loans from the Fed are given to cronies to build snake oil factories with environmental concessions on water and carbon. Wokeists are outraged that panic hiring has put on only abelist workers with no diversity quotas for the lgbtiquertyx.
    There is now a surplus of snake oil, unions demand punitive tariffs on cheap unsafe imports. etc.

    One offers:

    The other offers:
