Genetics do not determine the contents of ones mind (soul, self, consciousness with its values) because it is self made. One is not born good or bad, it is how one creates a self. There is no completed self placed in a newly born human body.
Do not try to blame evil or good on genetic factors.

I have a brother who is ten months younger than me. He has for his whole life been troublesome and went the way of theft, alcohol and drugs, as well as just being a fairly nasty person. He was not born that way but permitted has newly developing self to try to get away with what most people would consider bad behavior. Maybe I might have helped with his view of reality. He and I were both high IQ kids with him being very outgoing and I a borderline Asperger kid. He has blamed me and society for his not having a living given to him for not having asked to have been born. He is the one responsible for how his self developed, not me or genetics or some God or objective reality.

Just like the axiom: Fences make good neighbors; your cows won't be eating the food of your neighbors cows and visa versa.

If one is self inspecting or at least understands consequences, even if they attribute those consequences to some unseen force, understand that if I go to shoot you, you might shoot me too!...is it worth the risk?

But it only works for those that have the ability to think! or at least have a protoconscience.

I just started reading it and that question made me think. That question in itself seems to me to validate my position that we Don't have a direct connection to a Loving God and that Existence is structured as if we do have a limited connection by proxy.
But we do have to rethink: What is Good and What is Evil. One of the examples of corrupting the good is rust on your car. Well, isn't that the nature of Steel...it is prone to rust...is that really a corruption of the good? I think it's a bad example. But the Cycles of Nature, the sun and the Universe is a different story. What seems bad to us might be good for the whole...the initial question has opened up a can of worms for me.

There are those few who are born sociopaths. I had a cousin who was naturally cruel from the time he could crawl, unlike his siblings, who were compassionate people. He began torturing animals when he was three, and set up an ambush so he could jump on my brother's injured foot, then ran off laughing hysterically.

As an adult, he became a serial killer, though thankfully he was stopped after the first two. He killed just because he wanted to, and used a knife to mutilate the bodies of his victims.

Unfortunately, the state in which he was tried permitted an insanity defense, and sent him to a mental institute for the criminally insane. Under the state's rules, he could be released whenever a review board felt he was rehabilitated, and he could make such a request every year. He was very persuasive, as are most sociopathic narcissists, and very nearly got released after two years. Fortunately, his sister presented the board of review with some of the evil, malicious letters he had sent her, where he threatened to kill all of his relatives. As far as I know, he ended his days in the institution.

Genetics do play a part in a person's makeup, and for some, there is no cause due to improper nurture that makes them a monster. They may get involved in out of kilter groups if it pleases them, or they may just be a time bomb that explodes in slaughter unexpectedly. My cousin was one of the latter.

Well actually, distortion and perverting corrupts the good too and Yes, there are "Doers" of corruption that reflect that evilness, but the question becomes; were these doers ever good?

Not to mention, what IS good. Are the cycles we have been discussing and learning about, Good?

I read a piece about good and evil. It stated that Evil is not an entity, it is a process inwhich the good is corrupted.

The other guy as well was a socialist in some ways, although, I have doubts he actually wrote that manifesto...it was way too perfect.

Also note: socialist, marxist, communist, fascist, progressives and postmodernist inherently think the world is divided by different racial entities base upon a chemical which when deposited on the head of a pin could not be seen by the naked eye.

Better to divide the world by those that have a conscience and those that do not...but it's a whole lot more scary than the color of one's skin.

The reason you are having a problem with figuring this out is because it's in front of our noses. On the news every day. The hate being spread by the Leftist Loonies and 'the squad" is affecting everyone. Hearing this spewed out daily is confusing to the younger generation and my generation. I have never experienced the vitriol directed at one person like they have done with Mr. Trump.

Don't hold your breath. It would appear Dayton, Ohio is filling that role. I think Texas is trying to downplay this as much as possible. I agree with that attitude. We had our Santa Fe shooter and the little dear is yet awaiting trial! Killed 10 innocent people because he "had a problem". His parents knew it. Alvin Independent School District knew it and kicked him out. Then his parents got him into Santa Fe where he lived out his dream! Enough publicity.
