Whelp.... I lost a buncha money yesterday. Not much clawed back today and I anticipate it to get worse. I was heavy in tech and AI and now I have to restructure fast. Anyone out there smarter than me have advice?

The problem is the perception (right or wrong) of unilateral uncontrolled, action. With Congressional backing, he could have eliminated Iran’s government in 2 weeks and that would be the end of middle eastern troubles.

Like his first term, he could take credit for peace and Israeli normalization. Now he accomplished NOTHING.

My only question is how long AFTER Iran got its nukes was any president supposed to wait to act? Trump went with what he was advised about Iran's nuclear program - unless it was all a smoke and mirrors operation like Saddam's WMDs.

These are all bad things, but losing a massive battle is still losing a massive battle. Trump did NOT need to attack Iran to achieve any objective he couldn’t have achieved later, and now we all suffer.

The only true failure is what's left of Free America lost the information war. Lost in the grade schools, lost in academia, and lost in the press. I agree the cost of Iran was relatively low compared to Ukraine, Iraq and Afghanistan. However, doing Iran in December would have been 1) fine, 2) not cost both houses, and 3) still should have been done with the backing to finish. All might have succeeded. Now we have failed.

It should be IMPOSSIBLE that the fees eclipse the profits by LAW.

And, if they don't out produce their benchmarks but the indexes do. There should be a reduction in their fees.

But why not just setup a system the FRONT-ENDS all of Pelosi's trades before Pelosi can make hers?

It's naïve to assume there is no corruption hidden by the firms that manage the index funds.
Wall St, like Vegas, exists to clip the suckers (aka investors) and laws written to prevent it are
written with advice (collusion) from Wall St, assuring that the unethical theft continues unabated.
I only wish that Wall St was only a bunch of bookies taking transaction fees.

It sounds like the problem is bad money management. It's not that the "casino" or stock market is unfair. It's that corrupt cronies mismanaged the money. The answer appears to be to use better Wall Street services, such as index funds. That's "the casino" too.

I'm right there. I LOVE my work - which is why I do it. Also, few others can do it so it pays real money. But, I'm planning on setting up a consultancy where I proof other engineer's work, maybe do forensics, and give trainings...all work that I enjoy. Part time. The corporate setting is just too filthy for me. Unskilled back stabbers get away with too much these days. They can be miserable without me.
