YES! Thank you! Also forget that the main goal of this "Persian War", no nukes for Iran, was accomplished. Iran's tantrum in the Straits of Hormuz (forget it's barely an issue at this point because oil flow through it is back to pre-war levels) is a side show of the no-nukes big show. IMHO, a little more patience and tighten the screws and the Persian zealots will have to back away from that, too.

Iran's tantrum shows clearly why it is vital that they Not have nukes, imo.

Indeed. Not to mention their murderous proxies throughout the ME and the world. No need for a rocket to deliver a nuke when the minions will smuggle it (or them in case of multiple bombs) to wherever desired.

Yes, and Trump’s unilateral tantrum has doomed the US to future inaction, and more totalitarian
Socialism in the US. Trump precipitated Democrat communism by his own actions.

Clinton gave the NK's the nuke, Obama gave Russia the Crimea, Biden gave Russia permission to invade the rest of Ukraine - gas is below where it was under both Obama and Biden - and it is all Trump's fault.
The education (K-12) system and the propagandists in the media have finally given the country away.

            Read what I wrote, Sparky.

Trump lacked backing to finish what needed done in Iran. Iran made oil prices spike, and nothing changed politically. This was the main issue that lost us both houses of Congress. Trump admin dicked it up for us all. He should own it, and we owe him no excuses.

No one said other good things didn’t happen. No one. Grow up.

Das war sehr witzig, mein Dino.
It never ceases to annoy me how the KKK-founding Democrats blame the Republican party (which was founded to fight Democrat slavery) for racism, or how the current "Antifa" fascists say the conservatives are the fascists.
The fascists in Germany in the 1930's were socialist radicals.
"Blame the other guy for what you yourself do" should have been Saul Alinsky's fourteenth rule.

My original Stratego game had wooden pieces and years later when one of my younger brothers got one for Christmas the pieces were plastic. The plastic pieces didn't fall over when you bumped the table, LOL.

My cynical self says our Constitutional Republic is in trouble as this past election was a turning point, especially viewing Texas. I figure the California locusts are consuming all the green in that state and are crapping all over it. This whole mid term and the blame it on Trump narrative is clear proof, to me, the Main Stream Marxist Media (MSMM) has done its assigned task - Stalin would be proud. The MSMM is now working overtime to press home the I-Hate-Trump narrative. It will make the populous less sensitive to impeachment and lawfare procedures I expect to dominate the coming news cycles.

                ...and away we go...

Edit add: All that's needed now is the American Stalin (or Mao) to show up and begin the brutal purges.

Later this morning on my car radio I heard a news commentator predicting that in two years Democrats will be sick of their litigating fearless leaders instead not fixing the country and popularity will snap back in favor of Republicans.
                  Well, we'll see . . . . . . . .

I hope the commentator is correct, but I think it's wishful thinking at this point. The radio commentators I listen to are trying to be optimistic, too. However, IMHO, the commies now have control in a way never before and won't give it back in what's left of our lifetimes. They will rig the election system so opposition will never win a majority again. The commies in government will impeach and launch lawfare scams and the MSMM will smear any decent opposition to the point none will want to run against them. I don't think what's left of free America is going to disappear, but it will be forced into the back of the bus for a very long time.

Edit add: I notice the Dow jumped a bit on the news. Odd, as a commie takeover would make one think it would fall. Maybe the speculators just want to get a jump on the next inflationary spiral?

Me the dino stopped paying attention to the wacky whims of day traders decades ago.
Since I wrote what you responded to, later for in part both watching Hannity and The Five On Fox TV they said midterms are always hard on incumbents and that the Democrat base will~~once the next 2 years are up~~be sick and tired of the commie nut jobs they elected failing to keep promises of bettering things. It's all a cyclic thing, don't ya know.
What does me the dino know?
I'll not pretend to be an expert.
During the 70s I was good at being a straight-on old-fashioned newspaper reporter.
I reported when I heard, read and saw. I did not write an editorial column.

All because Trump attacked Iran. Bombing the nuclear site was fine. Attacking them was fine If and only if he had support to finish. He didn’t, and everyone knew it.

Trump lost the mid terms for the party all by himself. He is busy worrying about his name on buildings, and no the long term needs of the country. I am done with him. Yes, he did some good, but now he will get NO Money for Anything he really wants. We are screwed.

"He is busy worrying about his name on buildings, and no[t] the long term needs of the country." The MSMM branch of the D party worked hard to get Americans to believe that BS and too many are buying it.

The Iran conflict has cost about 1/10 of what was sent to Ukraine and succeeded in taking down the Iranian nuke program. The Straits Of Hormuz are now open in spite of that being the only card in Iran's hand. Patience will win that, too, IMHO, but you'd never know it from the MSMM.

Yup, blame Trump. It's the easy way out.

I agree the cost of Iran was relatively low compared to Ukraine, Iraq and Afghanistan. However, doing Iran in December would have been 1) fine, 2) not cost both houses, and 3) still should have been done with the backing to finish. All might have succeeded. Now we have failed.

The only true failure is what's left of Free America lost the information war. Lost in the grade schools, lost in academia, and lost in the press. Both from the indoctrination disseminated and from the needed information not given at all. Then add in a few servings of cheating, lying, and promising the obviously impossible and you end up with a Talarico (in Texas of all places!), Marxist Jihadis in NYC and Michigan and a complete dingbat as governor of NY. Trump didn't do this and it's been coming a long time no matter who is president, but it appears he is a very well placed scapegoat according to some. Add to that, too many idiots treat political parties like sports teams and they will root for their team no matter how bad the players are or how much the fools lose betting on them.

These are all bad things, but losing a massive battle is still losing a massive battle. Trump did NOT need to attack Iran to achieve any objective he couldn’t have achieved later, and now we all suffer.

That is a failure and a loss.

My only question is how long AFTER Iran got its nukes was any president supposed to wait to act? Trump went with what he was advised about Iran's nuclear program - unless it was all a smoke and mirrors operation like Saddam's WMDs.

I agree wholeheartedly. If this was an immediate need, bring Congress and the people (later) along. Easy, or it is bullshit, show the data and move.

The problem is the perception (right or wrong) of unilateral uncontrolled, action. With Congressional backing, he could have eliminated Iran’s government in 2 weeks and that would be the end of middle eastern troubles.

Like his first term, he could take credit for peace and Israeli normalization. Now he accomplished NOTHING.

These are not difficult moves and reactions to work out. Trivial. Children chess. The FACT that this wasn’t worked out, along with 1 minute of whose name is where, should bother anyone. Our boy has lost his way. There can be no other conclusion, and if he continues, he will set us back 50 years

imo, the current population is a full standard deviation less capable of rational
thought than 50 years ago. Part of that is the influx of sub-80 IQ immigrants,
part is due to the collapse of public education from school integration,
and the rest is the increased political activity of rarely rational females.

What are you talking about. Congress will shut down any further physical action in Iran. Iran will NOT change regime on its present economic position. It will retrench and rebuild. We will be back where this started in four years, with a more determined foe.

Yes bad writing on my part…… The Trump administration finalized revised federal fuel economy standards, scaling back requirements implemented under the Biden administration.

Key Details of the Rule Change

      • New Fleetwide Target: Lowers the required fleetwide average for new passenger cars and light-duty trucks to 34.9 miles per gallon (mpg) by 2031 (starting at roughly 32.3 mpg in model year 2027).
      • Previous Standard: Replaces the Biden-era rules that targeted a fleetwide average of 50.4 mpg by 2031.
      • Annual Increase: Mandates a 1% annual increase in fuel efficiency instead of the previous 2% annual increase.

      Projected Impacts

      • Vehicle Costs: The Department of Transportation and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) estimate the rule lowers the average upfront purchase price of a new vehicle by about $1,289 to $1,300 and reduces industry compliance costs.

The key thing that was not done is to reverse all the rules requiring gear for
"SAAAFETY" that add hundreds of pounds and thousands of dollars in prices.
Let the consumer decide how much "SAAAAAFETY" he can afford to pay for.
New economy vehicle prices could be 50% lower and get 30%
higher mpg if government exited the market completely.
Let GM die the death it has earned by its leaders' moronic acts.
Change rules to bring back diesel engines because they were already
clean 20 years ago, and significantly more efficient than gas engines.
D.C. meddling has ruined the productivity of the American people.

    Cute, but irrelevant.

Yes, the Trump admin did some good things. And because of his idiotic actions. The republicans are dead for two years and will likely lose the next POTUS election. He did NOT have to do this, and if he did have to attack Iran, he could have shown Congress why, and actually taken care of business. Now he can do NOTHING. He has NO Chance of getting support to end the Iran regime, so they will retrench, rebuild and attack. iDIOT.

It is you who are brainwashed, honey. Trump dicked this up, completely. He could have won the mid terms and done more good. No longer.

I’m at a loss for words after last night’s bludgeoning.

Looking at property in WY after seeing the numbers, at least for an investment. A lot of unrepresented citizens still love freedom. I expect them to pile into WY and ID.
