Ted Cruz and Bill Cassidy file resolution to designate antifa as a domestic terrorist organization
"Antifa is a terrorist organization composed of hateful, intolerant radicals who pursue their extreme agenda through aggressive violence. Time and time again their actions have demonstrated that their central purpose is to inflict harm on those who oppose their views," Cruz tweeted. "Like any terrorist organization they choose to pursue their political ends through violence, fear & intimidation. They must be stopped. I’m proud to introduce this resolution w @SenBillCassidy to properly identify what Antifa are: domestic terrorists."

'30's Fascists believed in Nationalism - A political/social/economic ideology promoting the national interests. In this more global economy, Nationalism is now replaced by reverence for Marxist ideals.
Imperialism - Extending dominion, by direct territorial acquisition or by gaining political/economic control. Socialists do the same thing as 'Imperialists'. They want world domination.
Authoritarianism - A form of government characterized by strong central power and limited political freedoms.
Nowadays, if you're not a Democrat, the FBI is watching you, and the IRS will be auditing you shortly. You can do anything you want, as long as it doesn't offend a liberal, but don't do it here.
One-party state - One political party forms the government. (How appropriate that its symbol is the Ass).
Dictatorship - A localized authoritarian government with little mass mobilization or political pluralism. "We can do anything we want. Screw over the Bear Stearns shareholders, walk into GM and fire their president..."
Personality cult - Use of mass media & propaganda to create an idealized, heroic, worshipful image of a leader.

Direct action - The actors use their economic/physical power to directly reach certain goals.

Social order - A set or system of linked institutions, & customs which enforce certain patterns of behavior.

Nationalism - A political/social/economic ideology promoting the national interests. (Nowadays state-oriented Nationalism is considered Conservative and therefore bad, so instead we should be promoting the higher ideal of world Socialism/Communism).

Fascists in Italy & Germany were 'Anti-Communist' in the '30's, but realize that this is not an expression of dislike for Communist precepts, but rather dislike for anyone else's brand of Socialism, because they are owned and operated by competitors.
As far as I can tell, the modern Antifa warrior uncomfortably fits the description of a Fascist.
And remember, Anti-FA like the KKK is the strong arm of the Democrat Party!

Methinks this is because Michelle is being primed to step in and rescue the Democrat Party. Under a "We need to take the High Road" and just get things done approach. But they do NOT want to leave enough time to dig up her ACTUAL birth certificate. LOL

I'm not a fan of the domestic terrorist designation. Like everything political it can be abused.
Sounds like a description of all central government with the possible exception of the government of the States united under the Articles of Confederation (which was replaced because it didn't give central government enough power.)
Passing these resolutions should be simple and direct. I fear that neither will pass and that the attempt will be used against the gentlemen next time they stand for election they attempted to stifle free speech and the freedom to assemble.
