Has anyone ready the Alan Greenspan/Adrian Woolridge book Capitalism in America. An excellent economic history book. This book should be taught in American History or Economic classes around the country.

Capitalism may not be the best idea in the world, but it is way ahead of whatever is in second place!

I read Age of Turbulence. He mentions meeting Rand in that book. I liked it.

Listen up guys! It's not politically correct any longer to use the word 'Capitalism'. You are supposed to use 'Economic Opportunity'? Duh? The word 'Capitalism' offends the Looney Leftists!

Thanks. I will get it. The book I noted reads much simpler and like a textbook. Just a great account of how Capitalism is the "secret weapon" that made America great. I learned a lot about specific Presidents and eras for our economic history.

Take a look at "A New Testbook of Americanism" by Ayn Rand et al.
The first part was written by Rand in 1946. Still very valid today. The second part written by her disciples more recently. Provides he views on politics ties in with economoics as well.
I've only just started reading and studying it. So I can't offer too much insight or info on it yet.
