Ilhan Omar on Trump Voters: ‘Ignorance Really Is Pervasive in Many Parts of This Country’

She is partially correct in her statement. Ignorance really is pervasive in parts of the country. I'll cite Minneapolis, Minnesota (aka "little Somalia") and a pocket in the Bronx, New York. Those areas delivered to us Ilhan Omar and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

What does "unhappiness --> Logical fallacies --> mean-spirtedness" mean and what comment in particular does that? The comments here are mostly the usual observations and denunciations -- not particularly new or insightful -- of a Muslim radical who is insinuated in American politics and properly rejected for what she is.

If you're referring to the originating post, it's not a deduction at all, and so can't be a logical fallacy, only an observation of the 'pot calling the kettle black'. We know what Omar is and don't need to try to deduce it from her latest attack on Trump supporters as "pervasively ignorant" as part of the wave of leftist political elitists laughably regarding themselves as superior compared to the American "deplorables".

The comments on this post are like logic fallacy bingo. It's almost like a case study that looks like unhappiness --> Logical fallacies --> mean-spirtedness. I actually have no idea which way the causal vectors go. They're like siblings who often go out as a group.

How do you know that? I ask because I've been amazed that those who come here presumably seeking a better life have not (to my knowledge) spoken out against her vitriolic hate speech. Silence oftentimes implies agreement...

This Somali immigrant is only speaking for herself when she spews her septic and racist remarks in the House Chamber and elsewhere. Sadly, there are a few who agree with her remarks. Thankfully they are few in number.

The Moslem extremist House Reps Reps are initiating a backlash against them. I don't understand how they got elected. Maybe it's the large Somali/Palestinian population that voted for them in their respective states. These population groups have never assimilated into the American way of life. From my POV the immigrants and illegals aren't assimilating very well into society. They are poorly educated, very few are becoming US citizens. Here in Arizona, the Hispanics congregate into their own enclaves where there is little incentive to learn English or anything about America.

Whatever a person is taught becomes their reality.

The challenge is to live, as best as possible, in the true objective reality not one's subjective only.

Islam according to the Hadith (unverified stories about Muhammad) inculcates hate, misogyny, and fear, elevating suicide, murder and torture to moral value. Islam according to the Hadith fosters the most unrealistic subjective delusion of all the religions and the most dangerous.

For some reason known only to the Regressives, they defend Islam and Sharia law. But I do have a theory... I think that they choose to ignore what Sharia law stands for because, as for now, this is a Christian country, and the Regressives can't stand that, so anything that would destroy Christianity is fine with them. They certainly are not thinking rationally, but then they never have.

Well, I'm happy to hear that. I've been done with Islam for years and years. The religion of peace is anything but that. Omar wants the overthrow of this country. Sadly the Leftists will continue to let her try.

Her home country, meanwhile, has just about the lowest average IQ on the globe. Maybe she should go there first to fix the problem. Oh, that's right...they'll probably stone her for opening her mouth...

I find it amusing that progressives who so passionately defend extreme Islamist views also claim to be the defender of LGBTQ rights and feminist calls for equality. Try reading the Koran and Hadiths, and educate yourself on Sharia law. To a serious Muslim, non heterosexual behavior is a mortal sin and a capital offense, punishable by death under Sharia law. Women are at best property and second class persons who need masculine affirmation of any statements they make. Maybe progressivism and extreme Islam are bedfellows, since practitioners of both seem to share mental illness that destroys rational thought.

Omar is an Islamist - not an American. It is clear from her remarks. Anything that doesn't usher in a wave of Islam ruling the world is "ignorant" in her mind - despite the fact that the only ignorance lies in embracing a religion which touts its intolerance and bigotry.

So I take you are all right with Omar's thrashing this country and her people? That is not " self-righteousness, tu quoque fallacy, straw man fallacy, general nastiness and unhappiness... all of it." - right?

Looks like you feel at home with the left's hypocrisy and blaming the other side for their sins, correct?

After reading Many of Ayn Rand's works, somehow I don't think she would genuflect to the Islamic point of view.

Yes. The "call out" self-righteousness, tu quoque fallacy, straw man fallacy, general nastiness and unhappiness... all of it. Read Ayn Rand's books for an opposing view.

So calling Ilhan Omar our on her idiotic comments makes us racist? That seems to be your implication.

Have you called her out for her anti-Semitic comments? Or were those comments okay because we need to “understand her feelings”? 🙄

I would urge anyone reading this and the comments who has never read rand to withhold judgment until he has read at least one book. Maybe start with Fountainhead or Atlas Shrugged. If it's a handbook for racist morons (hint: it is not) at least you'll learn what they're reading. It might turn out to be the very opposite of this post and the comments.
