Here's (sort of) what he have so far:
Object of the game: To fend off, or work around, ever increasing government regulations, while sticking to your principles and protecting your own self interest to earn a trip to the Gulch (name will be changed to protect the knowledgeable).
There will be Producers (earners), Moochers (free loaders), and Strikers (Producers already in the Gulch).
Currency will be gold and silver tokens/pieces (Maybe gold only in the gulch and silver outside..?)
Listed below, in the comment fields, will be categories/ideas that need to be worked on. Please reply to the appropriate comment for ideas/input.

    Hey Shrug
What if you have paper money but its value decreases the longer the game goes on.

I think we are on to something. Paper money on the outside along with heavy taxes on coal, steel, copper, and railroads. Susidies for failing industries. How does one win? Perhaps the game is over when the producers are in the gulch and the outside quickly collapses.

I was against any paper money...but outside the gulch, for the moochers it might be effective...after they accumulate a pile of it it will be deemed worthless due to inflation brought on by the Fed's practices, if they haven't bought gold or silver with it prior to said practices. Hmmmmm....

I like the inner circle being the gulch. Perhaps silver and gold coins only in the gulch. Paper money should be worthless.

I'm always cranky when I play board games. was this MY idea? I probably won't play it. we need some game theory people at this point to tell us how the odds work out. Here are my thoughts. 1.you can start as a civil servant or producer
    2. incomes for both. producers income is higher than civil servants. the cards are such that civil servants get tax revenue and other fees from cards drawn. key: you want to be a civil servant when everyone else is a producer. the more servants, the less to split. there are cards in there that allow you to switch from civil servant to producer and vice versa. if you choose to be a striker, you give your accumulated wealth back to the bank. moving forward a striker can only draw 10% off the value of any producer card, but does not have to give anything to a civil servant. ultimate goal is to get to 1 million dollars.

I hate moochers so much I'm not sure I could even play one in a game... well maybe if I was playing with kids...to prove a point...but I'd hate it still. Ick. I think I would keep saying "ullllk! I hate me." after every mooch move.
