Ocasio-Cortez: “I think that there's a lot of people more concerned about being precisely, factually, and semantically correct than about being morally right.“

I also find that trait annoying. I suspect that mouth-breathing may be partially responsible.

You are completely wrong in this.

I gather you are an anti-Trumper, which everyone not using brains are.

Trump has a long term agenda and if you are caught up in the minutiae of details, you'll get lost.

Just like the left. Their irate reactions to anything the president does attest to the fact they are incapable of countering him.

Comparing the president to AOC is as ignorant as the left is.

"Ok, so she wouldn’t make a very good Jeopardy contestant nor pass an American citizen test. "

There is more to it than that, Carl.

Shortly after she was elected, she was interviewed (don't remember the interviewer's name, she was a woman) on TV.

Several questions were posed to her. One was "Do you know how the Federal Government works?"

She did not. She still doesn't.

What it means is that she has the slightest idea of what she is doing in the vacuum she found herself, which is not preventing her to come up with "revolutionary" ideas what the gov should do. Of course they are all garbage.

A Congressperson who has no idea about the gov which is her employer can't be for real.

It's the same thing as Donald Trump, attention-seeking antics. Details of the facts don't matter, the thinking goes. As Scott Adams describes it, you say things that are wrong but directionally "correct" to make yourself a clown genius. By "correct", I mean furthers your goals, which could be bad like socialism or getting away with a crime.

The real danger is someone coming along who shows Trump's deplorables and socialists that they agree that someone else is responsible for their problems and government force, freed from the need to follow the letter of the law, could fix them.

A more likely scenario is political discourse becomes more like Trump, Ocasio-Cortez, and the ranting newsman in Network. That means, unfortunately, Ocasio-Cortez has a decent chance of becoming president.

Ok, so she wouldn’t make a very good Jeopardy contestant nor pass an American citizen test. You pretty much just need to be popular breather to be an elite in congress.

We all should encourage her to be as radical as she can be. Same with Pocahontas and Maxine. Make them feel comfortable with their collectivism. The more leftist they are, the better for us

Anyone can get elected. I know that for a fact. It isn't difficult either. Sometimes votes need to be bought but hey, it's done all the time. I think a member to Congress should have to pass a test to see if they have a brain. CT Scan maybe?

I never thought I could agree with Whoopi Goldberg on anything. She said AOC needs to sit down and listen! I think this youngster having a tantrum needs to be ignored.

This quip is universally ascribed to Senator Everett Dirksen (1896–1969), but in 1938 the New York Times printed: “Well, now, about this new budget. It’s a billion here and a billion there, and by and by it begins to mount up into money.”

I believe that between Ocasio-Cortez(NY) and Kirsten Sinema(Az) and others the election was a beauty pageant/fashion show for the mindless populace. I can't believe that the citizens of Az voted for Sinema. It seems that she snowed everyone in AZ of her personal background and sweet talk. What really irked me is her swearing in by the VP, that's all I'm going to say about that.

This pinhead is indeed dangerous; but if she really had a brain, she would be a lot more dangerous.

I dont think Trump is particularly intellectually consistent when it comes to individual human rights. I voted for him because I thought he would slow down the march to socialism that the USA has been on for a long time- at least somewhat.

He has done that, but I will say that the collectivists will continue to stop anything he actually does, so all he can do is veto.

I will go down on the side that there is 0% of her getting elected in 2020. Most likely whichever democrat wins in 2020 (Beto O'Rourke) will be there until 2028. After that, if the quasi socialist programs are failing, she could spearhead the "we just didnt do socialism right, lets try a new approach for socialism".

From the interviews I've seen of her, the gal is totally ignorant.

Scary thing is...people actually elected her.
