Netflix Lost in Space reboot: irrational, manipulative, misandrous propaganda

How many statist, politically correct messages can you find in this disgusting anti-reality propaganda series?
Anti-individual? Check
Anti-gun? Check
Anti-male? Check
Anti-survival? Check
Anti-family? Check
Anti-fossil fuel? Check

I could only stand watching 5 episodes before the embedded propaganda and statist message became unbearable.

Agreed, OUC. Actually, I'm waiting for Hollywood to make a movie about Harriet Tubman starring Brad Pitt as Harriet where nobody is supposed to notice he's male or white.

I couldn't stand to watch Star Trek Voyager after the third episode because they PC'd it to death.

Have you seen Altered Carbon? It's one of the best series I've ever seen, probably right behind Firefly.

Especially when it has happened twice before. When I can post, a note says my review it is under consideration.
The last time I read that, my review did not appear a day or two later, I think, because I called an atrocity for a flick with plenty of explanation "artsy-fartsy." Can't recall the name of that foreign flick, but scenes would too long end with an actor or actress staring off as if in great thought. A swords-woman did the same thing after killing someone off.

My reaction posted elsewhere when it first came out:
"If shows like Babylon 5 and The Expanse can be seen as Science Fiction fine dining, Lost In Space falls into the fast food or junk food category. If you look too carefully at the ingredients you'll lose your appetite."
Oh, and it has been renewed for Season 2.

Isn't it maddening?? We just started binge watching a new series put out my NatGeo who is very left-leaning. We have only watched two episodes and it is really good. It mixes facts with foreseeable outcomes for the future. It jumps back and forth from real things happening with Mars space travel planning in 2016 to the actual colonization in 2033. Very well done so far. We are waiting for leftist ideologies to seep in. So far so good.

I enjoyed it while ignoring the political crap. Dr. Smith was an excellent villain.

Seems Hollywood knows they can't attract an audience for their new crap so they take classic movie or TV show titles to get a built in audience then proceed to s%*t on the original plots and characters to make a completely different show and / or advance their political point of view.

Thanks for the warning. I send back quite a few Netflix movies given two stars for not liking it and one star for hating it.
I have tinnitus. So woe to DVDs that lies about English subtitles as far as me dino's star awards are concerned. The latest would be Reservoir Dogs, which I wanted to see again. The DVD offered English subtitles but the.only subtitles were in Spanish.
Watched that flick for one minute before I sent it back. When Netflix in my email asked me to grade it, I gave it one star. I also wrote a review explaining why. When I tried to post it, a Netflix note came on telling me I could not post then but to try later. The heck with rewriting squat!.

The Dr Smith character was unbearable...I don't like it when they change the premise of the original and/or change the gender of the main character from the original series.

Call it something different if you are going to do that.

I found the reboot done about ten years ago a disaster as well. It was all special effects and almost zero plot. This looks to be even worse.

(I'll also throw in here the gripe that in the original, both husband and wife were brilliant astrophysicists with a healthy marital relationship. This completely turns the entire original series on its head into a progressive-feminist dystopian fantasy.)

Haven't seen the reboot, but I'll always have a soft spot for the original series. If an Atlas Shrugged movie had been made back then, Jonathan Harris would have made a great Floyd Ferris.
