Contractors are required to hold a security clearance like any other federal employee, but in this case the Contracting Officer for the Democrat caucus apparently "waived it" - although, the backlog of security clearances by the OPM is about 2 years. They probably had a provisional one to get started and the actual investigation turned up problems.

If I see the name of their company anywhere, I can dig up the contract award docs on this and anything else they have ever been paid to do by the federal government.
