It is not "human nature" to be "sane a few minutes ago and insane the next". Some people are unstable because of a history of not thinking, with a very small minority having mental problems from medical causes. No one is insane by "human nature".

Those with a history of such irrational emotional thinking and action should not have guns, but the problem of how to objectively apply that principle is more difficult than slogans about banning guns for "mental illness". There are many forms of mental illness that are not dangerous, and on the other hand a lot of people are running around accusing anyone they disagree with, especially in politics, as "mentally ill".

Every human being is conscious. Consciousness means being aware of reality through the five senses, with the human capacity to conceptualize. Everyone does that. These repetitious assertions that some people are not "conscious" are as stale as they are absurd.

There are times when I'd like to get out the old Taurus Magnum and shoot away. The deliberate self ignorance of those who know the answer but refuse to apply it to the problem.But then, the sensible part of the little gray cells takes over and target practice becomes the order of the day.

You want to ride that horse until it drops. I made an assumption when I first heard the initial reports that a woman shot another woman and a man and then shot herself. That is a pretty standard action by a jilted wife or lover who found out her Bo was screwing another woman but I am sure you can't see that and would rather ride my ass. Turns out she was a just another Islamic lunatic with a twisted brain and a democrat.

It is unbelievable how some people equate crime with Islamist terror. Opinions such as this are the foundation for many politicians to shrug and say that terrorist acts are here to stay and "normal" everyday happenings..

Maybe first of all, stop immigration of muslim terrorists. Mostly the terrorists that are involved in these shootings ARE muslims. Not all of course. Most of this is due to people feeling there is no way to force others to do what they want OTHER than physical violence. That is a philosophical thing that is the result of collectivist thinking.

I posted minutes after it first started being reported that one male and 2 females had been shot with a female being the shooter who was dead. What would you take from a report like that?

No, local news is reporting she lived in San Diego and was pissed off that YouTube was taking down her obnoxious-looking videos dancing with water buffalo and grinding up smoothies in a headscarf. She was trying to make a living off the clicks & advertising. Militant vegan, etc.

She had a handgun and apparently went to a shooting range 30 miles away the morning of the shooting (to learn how to use it apparently), then went and with poor marksmanship shot a person in the foot, etc., before killing herself.

Her father, trying to not call his daughter a likely mass shooter, called the police "concerned that she was very upset and not sure what she might do against YouTube".

Muslim anti-American stuff too on the videos. Another one that "slipped through the cracks".

The truth is more grotesque than fiction, and points to an ever more dangerous social media environment. The shooter was furious with YouTube for "demonetizing" her videos (stripping them of advertising) because they were too violent and bloody. She knew none of the people she shot at. She just wanted to get back at the company, and gain the ultimate sensation (post-mortem) and fame for her acts.

Social media elements are like drugs, with persons deeply involved being addicted and dependent on the attention of others. This incident is a warning that more violence is the inevitable outcome of some of these interactions. The target might be another person, a company, or simply a fantasy goal of much attention upon the attacker's death.

In these situations, the MSM can't help itself, giving entirely too much attention to the killer, and encouraging the next mentally disturbed individual to find a way to stage an even bigger violent event as a claim to fame.

Not to make light of such tragedies but in the name of fairness we have people among us who might have been sane a few minutes ago and insane the next. It is human nature and there is absolutely nothing we will ever be able to do to stop this stuff.
This time it was a gun but it could have been a car, truck, plane, knife, bomb or hammer with similar results.
All of this recent BS about gun control and all I really want to know is how do we stop those who have snapped and are intent on killing???
