Too many people just don't understand the profit motive. They have been taught to believe that it is somehow bad. Instead they look to what might be called the Santa motive. Where everyday each person works to wrap gifts of charity to others and gets a tax deduction from Santa and his elves. But it will never long be the utopia expected of the hive minded, flying red nosed reindeer over pretty rainbows. The elf administrator of things carry real guns and the ever expanding Santa collective has its unstable fingers over the buttons of real nukes.
