Keeping up with the Munchkins

This cracked me up. Administrators think they can keep up with high school students? Why is it necessary to provide high tech equipment to teenagers again?

    The alleged purpose of handing out the iPads was to give "disadvantaged" kids access to modern technology so they didn't fall behind.

    These same kids were able to hack the iPads and access the internet, including Facebook.

    Exactly how are they falling behind, again?

    Sounds like another follow the money story. I read another article that explained how much money some companies were making from this. A school district in Detroit spent millions on giving i-pads to students while eliminating programs for special needs kids.

    the school districts made assumptions which were invalid. but I absolutely believe in ingenuity. where are the "seized" ipads though?

    Good find LiveHeart. I can't believe that one of the people who came up with this idea did not have a child at home that they could say "hey, can you get past our security"? Frustrating...
