What garbage. People who need help (businessmen) hire people to help them (employees). People who DEMAND something in exchange for nothing are the looters and moochers and that point cannot be missed when you read AS because Rand repeatedly stresses it. A "need" is not a claim on another's property. Even if you view Kickstarter as a "donation" site, that STILL does not conflict with the message of AS. You get the AS producers saying something like "We want to make a movie and therefore you people all owe us $50", and now you've got a looter and moocher. Stating the obvious here.

There a difference between asking for donations and offering something of value in exchange for money.

Abby Zimet should cite quotes from the novel Atlas Shrugged to support her insinuation that John Galt was "always saying people who need help are looters and moochers" (just one quote would suffice).
