I keep hoping this is a sign a libertarian alternative is coming. From an economic standpoint, maybe our best hope (not A New Hope) is for a recession. This expansion will have been short-lived enough that people will still remember the recession of 08-09. If voters who think the president affects the economic cycle, then they'll think Bush and Obama both caused recessions toward the end of their terms.

A libertarian alternative is a distinct possibility in Florida. Things have turned around in FL largely despite the current Republican governor. In fact, I wrote him, after he started Florida Polytechnic Institute as a public alternative two hours away from my private Florida Tech, that I would run against him if I couldn't find someone I could support to take him out. The prior governor was the RINO that helped get John McLame nominated for President in 2008; now he is a Democrat. I think that says enough about his lack of character.

The libertarian, Adrian Wyllie, polled at 9% this week even though almost no one has ever heard of him.

But for Vader to be president in 2016 would require violation of the presidential term limit amendment. Well, Vader has been known to make up his own rules before.
