The Mojave is full of Desert Mistletoe (Phoradendron californicum), which park rangers there describe as "a parasite that sucks the life out of its host until it kills the host, thereby killing itself."
I found a picturesque specimen of one infecting a cat's claw acacia, and made a poster about it. I think I have the poster for sale on a certain website, I'll go look.
And yes, the Mojave is where Harry Reid is from. Coincidence? I think not, ha ha
Nope, looks like I never got around to uploading it.
I'll get it done and post a link here. 'Twould be nice to sell a few of those, 'specially since it's time to pay my bill to that hosting service.
