This is so Rand like. As if it came from about halfway into the book, right before everyone starves and loses their jobs...and grapefruit..

I discovered them at about the same time during summer breaks when I was finishing college, getting revenge for being drafted by using the GI Bill.
I actually saw the Grail movie on PBS due to spotting it while browsing through a TV Guide. When I saw the knight whose idiotic courage got all his limbs cut off with voluminous spews of blood, I was laughing but very surprised that was actually being shown on PBS.

I discovered Monty Python in 1971-72 in England as a youngling there. It and Benny Hill were the only comedy shows I could wrap my head around, and Monty stretched it a lot. British humor is very weird and dark sometimes. Grail was one of the movies you really had to be drunk or something to say "That was good" instead of "Well, that was different". Though they did like naked breasts a lot.....and "killer rabbits"...

Keeping the money you earned is stealing it from her whom didn't earn it.

I'd swear that she is a project monarch volunteer!

Oh, new York has it's own issues though, my wife's family is from mid upstate. Their taxes are ridiculous and mainly to support NY city and it's "style". It is a tough competition between NY and NJ to see who can come up with the best scam...

Yes, but let us not forget that it ws a "Progressive" program, and only got put in place after our near emperor FDR stacked the Supreme Court and threatened to keep stacking it with "his people" until they agreed it was constitutional. He had had several failures before that really pissed him off. He was one of the weirdest patriot presidents ever. They legalized theft from everyone, because it was "fair". I agree with the sentiment, but stealing from one family for another is hardly fair. Progressive policies treat things as individual events and never as a frigging huge intertwined mess that it is. Do one thing, screw something else up... over and over.

"... constituents that vote for her fools as well?"

Yes, just like the fools in NY that made the Evil Hag a senator. (Disclosure: I live in NY but for some odd reason I seem to be immune to such idiocy, but my vote doesn't seem to matter around here.)

Couldn't have put it much better myself, Owlsrayne. I'm retired now, but worked at upper blue collar wages most of my life and took saving/investing quite seriously. If SS were taken from me I'd be a bit pissed from the robbery, but my investments would carry me through without damage to my lifestyle. Interestingly, the amount of money taken from me for SS since I was 16 years old is actually more than I was able to put aside for investing starting around age 35 (thank you for the tax break, Ronald Reagan), but my investments have increased and are paying more than SS. Your observation that a major problem is the fact that finance and investing is not taught in K-12 as it should be is spot on! It seems high school graduates (or even college grads) these days can spew PC bromides and paraphrase Karl Marx, but can't balance a checkbook.

There is no limit on liberal conceit. Perhaps even greater is their complete lack of self-awareness.

Can you imagine what Pelosi would say if Social Security monies that were given back complete to the the working populace from which it was taken. Maybe if investing and finance was taught in in schools we would be better off. Maybe a richer nation for it.

Sounds like Trump isn't up to playing the role of Mussolini, as he said he was going to do. I'm not sure whether that is a good or bad thing.

And the tune plays very well where she comes from. The peasants do not need much, other than 6 figures a month to pay rent..in an incredibly skewed economy there..

You have defined the issue, only it is the same framework as every one of them in DC, including the 10-20 million bureaucrats who actually ARE the government.

I couldn't find the entry on your FB page, but I am sure that is not including all her various "performance" bonuses...

The sad thing about Ms. Pelosi is that there are so many people who must believe what she says because they keep electing her.You might call her a fool, but doesn't that make all her constituents that vote for her fools as well? Apparently, that entire segment of California is unhinged. Could be -- isn't that where Berkely is located?
