Unfortunately, scientific debate is not "sexy" enough for the mainstream as: 1. Science moves slowly and intricately. 2. Most scientists are not good communicators.

My jury is still out as to whether fracking = Rearden Life. The dominant mode of testing new technology today, fighting it out in the public square between equal parts ignorant Left and ignorant Right, is unscientific. I don't want to hear "debate" between Limbaugh and his Left counterpart, but between scientists. One of the things an *Objectivist* head of state would do, would be to divorce science from politics.
