Interesting, and predictable. What a shame such a wonderful, humanitarian effort is going away. Amazing how hard it is to find in any searches, seems only the "alt right" is interested. The Progressives appear to concerned with hammering Trump now... But seems pretty clear that it was all about selling, and now they have nothing left to sell...

Reading the writing on the wall? Trumps win was not a surprise to everyone. It was to the Dumbocraps because they refuse to consider anything that does not align with their world view. Go look at the woman having the meltdown on the plane, she is a perfect example of how they think.

"The fact it is closing shows how she became a useless piece of meat after she lost. "
It closed over a month before she lost.

I hope so. The foundation should close and refund the money to the donors by some percentage scheme. I would want my money back if I had been a donor. There is no way Hillary can live up to her secret promises.

I hope the whole thing shuts down. I , for one, would never contribute to it now that its real purpose has been divulged.

Its clear what the clinton foundation was all about !! A grade schooler could figure it out. It was never about humanitarianism. She was selling access to our government. If thats not the swamp, I dont know what is. She deserved to be barred from any politics in the future and a good old fashioned investigation needs to be done. For all the people who have gotten locked up for far LESS, its only fair.

One should never place blind trust in their leaders.
That said I have not seen a president who has rolled up his sleeves and got to work so quickly.
He is making good on some of his promises and it's less than a week. Most promises by candidates never see the light of day. I am cautiously optimistic.

Of course, it was clear to see, if you wanted to. If you were ever waiting for a Sherlock Holmes moment where the video plays with secret recordings, well they did have that, didin't they? But even then, you can't believe it, everything gets faked. So, just the logic seems to fit, without doubt...

And no one has disputed it as "lies, made up, non-news" or whatever passes for their propaganda today. They were strangely silent on most of the accusations levied in Clinton cash, yet we never saw any legal action on either side. One reason I don't trust either party, and am still not sure about Trump.

Worse was the Clinton foundation actions in Haiti
Culminating with Hillarys brother getting gold mining rights from the crooked Haitian govt. the first granted in 50 years. Coincident, I think not.

    Hi Nickursis,
CGI, that was the big money machine for the CF.
The Huma A. Leaked emails show the pay for play much more clearly. The confused liberal wants to challenge the semantics. Avoiding the proof in the pudding.

Yep, it was hard to tell where that exactly happened though, since you saw him throwing his comments and occasional appearances in, but nothing dramatic.

Indeed, we will see. If it is tax exempt, and you can deduct the donations, it will probably limp along, but we will see what they take in.

I meant that the CGI was the front face of the whole thing, it was done to enable those who wanted "access" to pay the tool to get it. The fact it is closing shows how she became a useless piece of meat after she lost. It is empirical evidence that the whole Clinton Foundation was a sham to simply enrich them. The Clinton Foundation will probably limp along, simply on interest, but it will no longer be their "other job".

The Davos idea with Bill and Bend on a private jet arranged by a Saudi Prince on the way to Davos Switzerland they came up with the idea to use Bill and his presidential candidate wife's attraction to the world leaders and movers and shakers . The Clinton Global Inititive was born. He coincided the fundraising event with a big UN meeting . He traded a live space station video for a U2 concert? Bono would attend . So to get in, their companies had all been required to pledge a “commitment to action” — a specific promise to do good in the world. Starbucks pledged to help poor coffee farmers. Goldman Sachs pledged to preserve forests in Tierra del Fuego. The crown prince of Bahrain pledged to “educate select Bahraini students for leadership roles.”

For hours, they came to announce their pledges in front of Clinton — revivalists, suddenly seized by the spirit of charity. Clinton nodded approvingly from center stage as companies and individuals promised to spend their money and resources on projects the foundation would monitor. Their pledges added up to $2.5 billion.

He was doing good. But the foundation was also doing well: Every ticket to the event cost $15,000, in addition to the do-gooder pledge. (Full-time do-gooders, such as activists and nonprofits, got in free.) Many corporations were also encouraged to make separate donations to the foundation. Corporate sponsors who generally paid at least $250,000 were showcased in the conference’s official literature, and they received invitations to get exclusive access at private receptions.

" CGI IS the Clinton Foundation. "
What does this mean? I really you're probably speaking metaphorically or about one aspect of the orgs b/c if one laid off dozens of the staff and closed down while the other operates with over 1,000 employees, they're not in a literal sense the same thing.

" there's no reason for any donors to give money to the foundation."
We can test this by seeing if donors give any money during 2017. If it's less than 2016 or near zero or drastically reduced, that fact will support your claim.

And this part is certainly ture:

"The foundation is a massive family enterprise disguised as a charity, an opaque and elaborate mechanism for sucking money from the rich and the tyrannous to be channeled to Clinton Inc.," he wrote. "Its purpose is to maintain the Clintons' lifestyle (offices, travel accommodations, etc.), secure profitable connections, produce favorable publicity and reliably employ a vast entourage of retainers, ready to serve today and at the coming Clinton Restoration."

Except, now there is no Clinton Restoration. So there's no reason for any donors to give money to the foundation. It lays bare the fiction of a massive "charitable organization," and shows it for what it was: a scam to sell for cash the waning influence of the Democrats' pre-eminent power couple. As far as the charity landscape goes, the Clinton Global Initiative won't be missed.

CG, the CGI IS the Clinton Foundation. It was the vehicle they used to launder all their money, and the portal that all the rich people and governments could use to launder their pay for play.

The Clinton Foundation’s long list of wealthy donors and foreign government contributors during the 2016 elections provoked critics to allege conflicts of interests. Clinton partisans defended the organization’s charitable work, and dismissed claims that it served as a means for the Clintons to sell off access, market themselves on the paid speech circuit, and elevate their brand as Hillary Clinton campaigned for the presidency.

It was the thing that the "partisans" cxould use to say how nice she was and also pay Billy boy millions to stand and blather. With it's death, there is no clean way to do graft for the greedy worms. So the "Foundation" becomes just another tax shelter...

This IBD article appears to be completely false. It says the Clinton Foundation says is closing its doors. Then it says the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI), a program within the Clinton Foundation, is closing its doors according to a tax filing. It then changes the subject back to the Clinton Foundation, speculating the reason for ending the (CGI) was that the entire Clinton Foundation is an influence peddling scheme that fell apart when Clinton lost the election.

The article clearly hopes the reader confuses the Clinton Foundation and the CGI.

According to this article, the CGI told its employees in Sept 2016 that it was shutting down due to criticism of potential influence peddling. http://www.syracuse.com/news/index.ss...

If I'm reading this correctly, the entire IBD editorial is bunk. Contrary to the main point of the editorial, the Clinton Foundation is not shutting down. It did shut down one of its programs because of accusations of influence-peddling, but that action happened at a time over a month before the election when it looked like Clinton had a good chance of winning.
