"One of the big attractions to FreedomFest this year is the chance to see a preview screening of Atlas Shrugged Part III. I saw it with Scott Holleran, who I bet will review it. I will not spoil it.
The lowlight was after the movie. An old woman marched right up onto the stage, took the microphone and said: "We don't have John Galt but we do have Jesus Christ. Everyone should go on their knees and pray to him."
I am sure she felt that her values were being threatened by the message (diluted though it was in the movie). But that's no excuse to disrespect the movie producer or the audience.
On your knees, indeed!"
To any who were there, on her behalf and since she was so low classed- I'm sorry.
As a Christian I share a common religion with her, but find her actions so low classed that she has embarrassed all of us before a group of people who don't share our faith. she acted wrongly and inappropriately. By reason of our shared faith I'll do what none seem to have done, apologize for her.
Just as I'd apologize for a child who acted out at a social function. We can only hope she will learn.
I said - it's just a bunch of stories written by people for some motive - like any fiction. After a couple more impotent attempts to sell his point he finally shouted "fuck you" and stomped away. I lobbed, "Now that's very Christian".
They need no attention - we need to work the sane voters to understand reason and freedom or at least the next generations.
