I think they got it wrong. Most things that I find in such places I'd be willing to read - but there's nothing in his "library" that I will find worth any of my time.

What troubles me about these stories, like this and the rodeo clown with the mask, is that the media reports it with a straight face and throws in how racist it might be. I can't make that connection. Elected President? In America you'd better be prepared for this kind of gag.

"Obama Presidential Library" is an oxymoron.

I resent having to pay for Obama to have a Presidential Library, when I don't get to have a Presidential Library.

I see it as "non-respectful". and a that's a good thing. I tire of reading/hearing people say "you have to respect the president! He's The President!" Now I am not in favor of investing that much power in any one person, I am at least tolerant of the office. But when someone does something, or a lot of things, that make him not worthy of _my_ respect, The fact that it says M.D. after his name, or "Principal" on his door, or "President" in front of his name - the person has not earned my respect and will not get it.

I also find it interesting that an object, a float in a parade, is labeled as "disrespecful". It's constructors, maybe - I don't know them. It, itself, cannot have a viewpoint.
If it starts to show one, I'm going to run.

So you can't make fun of someone, no matter how richly he deserves it, if he happens to have dark skin.

And this "Presidential Library" is far less of an insult to the office of the President than everyone at every level of government and media looking the other way while the office is occupied by someone who is not qualified to hold it.

    Article 2, section 1, clause 5.
