Trump's pick for Health and Human Services is "Horrible News" (according to Slate)

"The move sends at least two very loud messages. First, the incoming White House is dead serious about scrapping the Affordable Care Act. Second, it may well be open to ending Medicare as we know it."

"Price is similarly keen on Ryan’s plan to transform Medicare by turning it into a voucher system where the government would give seniors money that they could use to purchase private insurance."

This is better than I thought. Can you imagine what Hillary's pick would have been like?

Well, let's see. How do you explain her decision to "clear" the Keystone XL Pipeline? She disappointed many of her leftist allies when she did that. Her motive seemed clear enough to me: the pipeline builder invited Bill Clinton to speak and paid him some of those six- or seven-figure honoraria. And then, presto-change-o! The Department of State clears the pipeline. The only reason we don't have that pipeline, was that Obama had already made a deal with Warren Buffet to allow no competition for Buffet's rail interests.

Clinton's main goal in life has not been to steal money. Her entire history has been driven by leftist ideology, which you can read about from its beginning when she was student at Wellesley College where she embraced the New Left and befriended Saul Alinsky. That is fundamental to her 'career' and sense of entitlement to rule. The course of politics is driven by philosophical premises, not random crooks. The strategy behind the Clinton Foundation does not prove otherwise.

I understand the danger of the ideology she espouses.

But I put it to you that her main goal in life has always been to steal large amounts of money for herself. She's a fraud!

At best she is an imitator of Orren Boyle, or maybe James Taggart would fit better.

At worst she is Cuffy Meigs, always stealing and selling things.

Obama was Mister Thompson. Hillary was just a venal shakedown artist.

To prove this, I offer the observation that, after her electoral defeat, "donations," which is to say bribes, to the Clinton Foundation fell by thirty-seven percent in a hurry. I understand they're now down by fifty percent.

Hillary Cackles Clinton is a collectivist ideologue and follower of Alinsky, beginning with her embracing the New Left in the 1960s, not a petty mafia shakedown artist. Her corruption is the means of imposing her ideology, not an end in itself. Her ideology rationalizes to herself her sense of entitlement to political power and its imposition on the rest of us.

Can you imagine how the left would howl if Ted Cruz was picked for the Supreme Court. Lots of them threatened to go to Canada if Trump won, but alas, they didn't. If they don't die from heart attacks first, a Cruz appointment might be enough to send them packing.

Hillary would have appointed Obama to the SCOTUS for life! Then the next opening would have gone to Eric Holder. Be happy she got her ass kicked!

If Slate says it's "horrible news", then it obviously is the right choice!

If Trump picked Mother Teresa as head of Health And Human Services, the left would find ways to howl that it will be a disaster.

Couldn't agree more. The more publications like Slate don't like something, the more I do like it.

Actually her pick would have been a crook like her, thinking to shake down the insurers and the taxpayers and skim the cream to the Clinton Foundation. Of course, it didn't work out that way.

Hillary would have picked someone to skim from all the stakeholders, with a lot left over for Hillary. Her Clinton Foundation is a continuing criminal enterprise within the meaning of the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act. That's a fact, whether anyone is willing to prosecute her for that, or not.

Every time Trup picks a Cabinet member and the press and the left howl, I reasonably sure the pick is a good one. The louder they scream, the better.

Her pick would have been something like Bernie Sanders. She openly said she would replace Obama health control with her own "Canadian" style socialized medicine taking over the rest of the industry.

The Obama scheme was never intended to work or to last. They rammed through whatever they could get away with to set precedents for entitlements and controls, and to cause a disruption and chaos in the insurance industry, expecting that people would clamor to be saved by more government controls. Obama was recorded earlier saying he wanted full socialized medicine and that the Democrat scheme was only a step to getting it.
