Cost of Government Day! Yippee!

So after reading this, I thought of many many departments which can just be eliminated across the board of the bloated carcass of government at present.

Let's start with the EPA. Clearly an agency which has run amok, and is drunk on its own power, which seems to have no checks.

Obamacare. Enough said.

IRS. Again, enough said.

Department of Education. Another over funded and bloated agency which has done more harm than good.

Any others? Let's hear them!

    1) Dept of Education -- a state function
    2) National Endowment for the Arts -- a state function, if at all
    3) Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms -- legal products, a state function, at best
    4) Bureau of Land Management -- return federal lands to states where it is best managed locally
    5) TSA -- the groping of kids and grannies must stop
    6) NSA -- ill-defined jurisdiction ripe for corruption
    7) Dept of Homeland Security -- really the job of Dept of Defense, don't need duplicative jurisdictions
    8) Dept of Agriculture -- state function, eliminate corporate welfare to agribusinesses
    9) Dept of Health and Human Services -- a state function, at best
    10) EPA -- a state function
    11) scale back or eliminate IRS
    12) Dept of Transportation -- a state function

I'm probably forgetting something... Bottom line -- we need a return to Federalism (10th Amendment) to broadly distribute power and minimize the dangers of corruption, caused by too much concentrated power in D.C.

50% of GDP is the government, crap, so all logic would dictate that at 51% GDP government, 49% GDP everything else, the system begins to cannibalize itself?
