Something one of you said on another thread is in my mind and waving its little synapses at me: This is a manufactured crisis. It is 'timed' to happen now.

What is it that we are not supposed to be paying attention to whilst this debacle absorbs media and our interest? Is there something else going on that we should be watching? Is there some new directive 10-289 that is being enacted right now while we are debating illegal children immigrants?

    This is clearly planned. Why?

Jan, it is my considered opinion that this crisis is
specifically designed to prepare for executive orders
which will grant amnesty and federal $$ to whole
families of illegal aliens whose votes will, in the
long run, be welded to the D party. under the banner
of humanitarian action, refugees will be afforded
sanctuary here. any who oppose will be branded
heartless and ruthlessly inconsiderate. -- j

      p.s. yes, it's Cloward-Piven for sure.

Then the next question is: How many. I do not think this would be worthwhile doing for a couple of hundred thousand votes.

I see signs that 'branding' is getting more difficult for the D. Even 'climate equivocation' is not being accepted as readily as it used to be. Hopefully that part of the D project would not work well. There is also the case that the people who would come in as a result of that strategy are people who have spent their lives working - and may retain that habit.

I do not say that you are in any respect incorrect, but I do wonder if this is a trick of "Look over there at the immigrants!" while something especially sneaky is happening in DC.

As my Grampa used to say, "So, what else is new?" Most folks, even conservatives, still cling to the belief that Obama could not be so evil. That perhaps as a super lib he just got carried away -- etc, etc. The facts pretty much speak for themselves. How many horrors must he perpetrate before people realize that this is an America hater in the guise of an American. That his aim is not merely making the USA more like Europe, but even less than Europe. And if people get hurt, or die in the meantime -- collateral damage. Obama, Holder and their whole miserable crew are the children of the 60s, hell-bent on the destruction of the only truly free country on the planet.

I see lots of articles about this, but nobody really explains where the kids are coming from. From what I can gather about 75% of the children crossing the border illegally are from countries like Guatemala and Honduras. The other 25% or so are from Mexico and legally they can be deported, but the central American ones cannot be deported because there is a law in place that states they have to be returned to family members in the US otherwise if they don't have family we just have to hold them and wait until they are processed somehow? I can't seem to get any facts as all I see are editorial articles or ones that don't explain the whole picture.

The atmosphere there...the brown shirts, the children sitting there with lice climbing down their hair...just sounds like hell on earth to me. What are we doing?....

Unfortunately, this is how it begins. I see uncomfortable parallels to nazi Germany. Not all over the country, but in small sections like this. I am 64 and I am now hoping I die before everything falls apart.

Not me... I hope to live to see this manufactured travesty to the USA come unraveled, and the purveyors (from the top down) tried, prosecuted, and Defrocked. I want to see my country - not this manufactured police state, but the USA whose constitution I swore an oath to "Protect and defend" returned. Dammit.

Susanne, I can certainly understand how you feel. I apologize for sounding depressed, but after 21 years of serving in the Air Force, and another 20 years working in civilian life, I finally managed to retire only to see everything I worked toward and believed in be called racist and bigoted, and mean spirited. I just don't have the energy to deal with it anymore. I fear that the police state will get far worse before this country fixes itself.

Point for retiring in the USAF!

A lot of those comments are being used to keep the wolves from speaking out... after all, if something you or I say is then denounced as "racist", then we're not likely to say them in public... even if they're nowhere close.

Just trust me - my version of "Hope and Change" is definitely NOT what the current White House Occupier considers it. (And yes, I served during the Carter years, as perhaps you were, so we've seen a lot... but nothing like this!)

Susanne, yes I served during the Carter years and also during Ronald Reagan's administration. What a comparison that was. But nothing I saw during Carter's lunacy was as bad as what the jerk who would be king is doing now. Some days I just want to shut out the world and let it go to hell without me. But if push comes to shove, I'm sure I'll be out on the front lines. Just the way I'm put together I guess.

Sucks to be us, eh? ;-) I guess we're just cut from a different generation. Or maybe we just took that oath seriously. Or both.

I was stationed at the USAF's "information black hole" at lovely Camp Springs, MD. Remember some guy named Reza Pahlavi? He'd fly in, we'd see it on the local news, pictures and all, and 4 days later, we'd get a "security alert" that the Shah was "going to be" on base... Sadly, I had a "severe family emergency" and had to leave the party early, otherwise I would have also been one of the Proud... (I envied the hell out of you guys who were in under the Great Liberator!)

Susanne, I retired from the usaf in 98, after 28 years
gathering reserve points. congrats on making it to
the door from the party before it really got strange.

I was very glad to get out just before they gathered
dna samples from everyone and obliged us to buy
                new navy-like uniforms!!! -- j

The changes - from the AF insignia (looks to me like broken wings) to the uniforms (hey, we came from the Army, NOT the Navy, dammit!) to, well, yeah, you nailed that one. Congrats on making it out the door yourself!!! ;-)

We inherited this mess...thank God for the counter-culture and the "me" generation. Sadly this "correction", if one is possible, is going to be painful, bloody and slow.

Look at the Obamanations battlecry for the Supreme Court decision to not force companies to make people pay for birth control drugs that go against their religion: "Its a war on women" and "Gender War". Every little thing any party does today is completely false and laced to punch emotional buttons..."these aren't the droids you're looking for...move along....

John, I'm feeling the same way, lately. At 73, I'm feeling worn out after the last 6 years of this administration. I still remember my oath and consider it viable, but unsure of what use it is if there are not enough of us to counter the moves of the administration. I love my country, I fear and loathe my government.

Sometimes I miss the ability to thumbs up or down a comment.

"I want to see my country - not this manufactured police state, but the USA whose constitution I swore an oath to "Protect and defend" returned. Dammit. "

The irony in that statement is so... biting.

I read almost every article you guys post on these boards. But I clicked back on this one. Anything with Todd Starnes name on it is unreliable information. This is the kind of guy who makes conservatism look stupid. He is a hinderance instead of a help.

Starnes... Starnes... was Todd Starnes one of the 20th Century Motor Company heirs?

yeah, the thought crossed my mind as well when "Starnes" came up..Will verify his other work as I'm not familiar with him; took note of scinch's entry.
In a bit of black humor I'd ( used to) say the BROWN SHIRTS are still on back order; oh well that's done.
If there's a ray of hope, the extremity of these action may just wake enough people up to the reality of the CLOWARD- PIVEN STRATEGY which seeks to hasten the fall of capitalism by overloading the government bureaucracy with a flood of impossible demands, thus pushing society into crisis and economic collapse. http://discoverthenetworks.org

you have to be concerned about those who are given the responsibility to administer the orders given to them. those who are the brown shirts are the problem not the guy in Washington. if they the brown shirts refuse to do the job the guy in Washington is "f".

Such is the consequence when the predominant philosophical base is altruism; they believe they are providing a "service to humanity". At least two of the medical personnel "went Galt"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I often wonder how many act rationally w/o being aware of AR; in AS many started "going Galt" who were not part of "The Strike". I know a few, but they have small twinges of guilt; however, they suppress the guilt and say, "I'll be damned if..................................". I hope they can keep at it.

Lots of people who find GaltsGulchonline say that they never heard of Ayn Rand before they saw the movies. They also say, I thought I was the only one who thought like I did....
we don't know who she is...wish I did so I could send her the movies and the book. Brave

I have given copies of AS to several I thought "were already on the path"; most were not close acquaintances (don't have too many of those!) so could not follow up, but planting the seed was the importance and, hopefully some of them germinated and are on the trail to fruition.

Here are some facts: "Since operations at Lackland Air Force began on 18 May, numerous officials from the state and federal government, health care agencies, faith-based organizations and the news media have visited the site, including members of Congress and the Texas Legislature; the Secretaries of Homeland Security and Health and Human Services; local, state and public health authorities; medical professionals; the Texas Attorney General; military leaders; Department of Defense officials; child defense attorneys; and the Archbishop of San Antonio and other pastors. Media was also provided a full tour of the facility on 5 June, and reported on their accounts of the clean, safe operations at the Lackland shelter."
